  All staff members were very welcoming and friendly. This was my first time getting Botox and Dr. Gal did a phenomenal job! He is very knowledgeable and made sure I knew everything prior to the injection.   Dr. Gal has helped me immensely in a very short period of time. He listened attentively to the issues that I was dealing with and very quickly identified that he believed that I had an issue with my thyroid. This was confirmed by Accelerated Photoplethysmograph even though my blood levels were "normal". I can't begin to express how important it is to have a doctor that takes the time to not only listen to his patients but is also open to different modalities of treatment while being at the top of his craft.   This is a long read and very transparent, but I am posting for those who may be going through a similar experience.
  
  
  
  For several years I've had multiple symptoms that led me to see various specialists such as, Hematologist, Cardiologist, Neurologist, Endocrinologist, pulmonologist, all of which resulted in no diagnosis or an "idiopathic" diagnosis. Ironically, "idiopathic" means "something is there, but they do not know what." Which was already evident to me, the one dealing with symptoms and having no solid solution.
  
  
  
  After at least 5 years, I would go through seasons of being too tired of the unsuccessful attempts to find a solution that I would just stop looking and "deal" with the results. I was put on multiple medications to treat my symptoms, leading to new symptoms of high blood pressure, tremors, weight gain, etc.
  
  
  
  I saw Dr. Gal's information at my primary care provider's office, Dr. Coates, and was tempted to call many times, but my hesitancy held me back. I was hesitant because I thought perhaps it would only be a new journey to the same destination. Once I became desperate enough for a solution, I contacted him. Within just a few months, Dr. Gal identified one of the primary root problems, Hypothyroidism. I was pretty shocked, considering my thyroid function had been tested multiple times, and it came back normal each time. Dr. Gal did a fantastic job explaining that the mainstream tests used to monitor thyroid function provide only a glimpse of a person's accurate clinical picture because the mechanisms of thyroid function can vary from one person to the next. With only a few months in my new "health journey" with Dr. Gal, I have been able to stop one medication and reduce the dosage on two others. My symptoms of chronic fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, depression, difficulty concentrating, and tremors have significantly decreased almost completely.

  Hello my name is Rachel. I am a 31-year-old female, that has been suffering from poor blood circulation in my lower body. This caused me to have sharp pain in my legs.   FINALLY! The City of Myrtle Beach has a doctor who specializes in treating hormonal issues! CONGRATULATIONS! I have found Dr. Almog Gal through common friends when I lost hope to find a specialist for the hypothyroid condition. Over the years, I have had many allopathic and holistic doctors who mismanaged my thryoid helath. I was so disappointed, so I took myself off the thyroid medication. It was a very unitelligent decision which resulted in me not being able to work for over one year. I educatied myuself on this topic more by reading books by Isabella Wentz, Alan Chritianson, and Amy Myers, but it was impossible to find a doctor locally, because all the doctors know is "Synthroid" and "TSH". Dr. Gal started treating me with the most superb medication for the thyroid based on the T3 levels, and I am coming back to work. He is also adressing PCOS issues because one of my goals for the near future is healthy pregnancy. In addition, I am focusing on nutrition, stress reduction, fitness, and supplemental support to have the best quality of life I can possibly have and beyond.   I was diagnosed with PCOS 50 years ago and suffered with many of the effects like irregular periods, infertility and gestational diabetes. I took synthetic estrogen for 10 years after my total hysterectomy and was told I needed to stop taking it. My blood sugar started rising soon after that. I had been told many times that my inability to lose weight and to get my blood sugar under control were a result of poor eating habits. After weorking with Dr. Gal, I felt betteer in general but most importantly to me my blood sugar began to drop and the pounds came off. My A1C went from 7.8 to 6.5 in 6 monhts and I have lost 20 pounds. I had been told many times over my lifetime that I had all the sympotoms of hypothryoidism but then my lab results woud be "low but within normal range".   I am a 71-year-old female whose health had been slowly declining despite years of traditional medical care. I came to your practice with several problems including high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high liver enzyme levels, slow but consistent weight gain, hair loss, insomnia, fatigue, and anxiety.
  As your patient for less than 6 months, the positive changes I have experienced have been remarkable. My blood pressure, blood sugar and liver enzyme levels are all dramatically lower.
