Went camping for two nights- great location and totally serene! Incredible weekend away, massive thank you to our hosts.

Absolutely blown away with how beautiful, relaxing and peaceful it was staying at Evelyn. Walking round the corner to see where we were staying took my breath away, pictures do not do it justice. Facilities are fantastic and super clean, you do not feel at a disadvantage by camping. The owners are amazing and accommodated every request and replied to messages straight away. We will 100% be revisiting next year.

It is very dark in the evening so I would advise bringing extra lighting, and possibly a portable fridge to store meat etc.

There was so many places to explore in Tenbury and the surrounding areas. Ludlow was absolutely stunning town, plenty of castles to visit, walks, farms etc.

What a diamond of a find!
We had a great time and wished we could have stayed longer. Loved the eco-friendly concept and the quietness of the place. Tucked away so we had our own little private field to ourselves, with everything we needed for our first glamping trip. Emma was extremely helpful and informative and told us about a pizza and gin event nearby which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you again ☺️

What a wonderful place to stay. We were so kindly hosted by Emma and her partner who checked in to make sure we were ok and had all we needed. The camping field is big and private and served by a lovely shepards hut style building which houses an immaculately clean and comfortable shower room with a lovely hot water shower and non-smelly composting toilet. There is a kitchen sink area for washing dishes and drinking water tap. The little honesty shop stocked all the necessary items including eggs, local honey, apple juice, firewood and matches etc. The site is set in stunning countryside and is very quiet and calm. What a find - we look forward to coming back soon!

Fabulous two night stay here. Beautiful camping field, just peace and quiet all around. Shower and toilet were quirky and immaculately clean. Emma was a wonderful host and all my questions were answered quickly! I treated myself to the afternoon tea, which was an absolutely wonderful addition to my stay. Loved cycling around the lanes, and the little phone box librarmade me smile. This is an absolutely wonderful little site and I shall definitely return.

A fantastic bell tent set up with very comfortable double bed and solid kids camp beds. Well stocked private kitchen hut and private horse box bathroom with good hot water/shower. Very secluded from the other glamping tent and camping field. Wonderful set up for exploring followed by peaceful evenings over the camp fire/BBQ.

My daughter and I went on a motorcycle tour and stayed for two nights on the tent pitch. A beautiful, small and very very quiet place to stay (only sheep, bird and fox noises). We could freely choose the pitch which is located on dry and soft grassland. A converted shepherds hut served as a bathroom with hot shower and a separate entrance for the composting loo. Both very clean and with practical appliances. The little car park has a honesty shop for buying fire wood, local honey and excellent local apple juice (my daughter drank 4 big bottles!). The Red Phone Box camping site is my top favourite site I've stayed and I would always go back to it when in the area.

The owner told me that the pitch has never more than 3 parties staying at the same time. The Red Phone Box camping site is my top favourite site I've stayed and I would always go back to it when in the area.

This was our first experience of glamping and what a wonderful adventure we had.our little pitch was lovely with all the amenities we required. Great having your own little bathroom in a horsebox.bell tent was immaculate and bed lovely and comfy.surrounding area is very pretty with lots to do,can't wait to make a return visit.see you soon and many thanks.

The setting was tranquil and the children could run around the large camping field. The toilet and shower were really close to the tent and the composting toilet felt like we were working with the surrounding nature. The local area was beautiful. The owner was very friendly and lent us maps to walk and made recommendations. Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights but hope to be back. Lovely place to stay!

We booked a last-minute camping pitch here, wanting to explore a part of the world we were unfamiliar with. The information received in advance was good and we were warmly welcomed on arrival. We effectively had a field to ourselves in a lovely, quiet, idyllic setting. The site feels in the middle of nowhere (in a good way) but is near enough to Tenbury Wells for supplies. The facilities for tent pitches were all housed in a small, well-appointed cabin, with one shower with hot water (nicer than many I’ve seen in residential homes), one very clean, compost toilet, a sink for washing up and drinking water.

One hot evening, we walked across the fields to one of the nearest pubs, the Live and Let live Inn; a lovely walk and an even better pub with a beautiful beer garden which commands views over the Shropshire Hills. The campsite had lovely produce on offer and the apple juice comes highly recommended. All in all, an excellent stay and would happily go back.

Toilet and showers were ckean and very welcoming. It was boiling while we were there so can attest to them being cool or hot as required. The views were amazing and the kids loved the space. Tbe apple juice from the farm next door was a huge hit.

Needing a break to reset and recharge and not wanting to travel too far we stumbled upon By The Red Phone Box. This was our first glamping trip and we weren't dissappointed. With the weather on our side we had two wonderful nights staying in Evelyn. The facilities were clean and comfortable and more than we expected. We were especially happy with the space allocated to our camp which was wonderful for our 2 year old to run around.

The only small issue we had was finding shade to keep the little one out of the 30 degree heat, but this was quite exceptional weather so I can't see this being an issue generally. We rigged up our own shelter which made the camp even more authentic!

We loved the area and had a great day in Ludlow. Can recommend Csons for fresh local food. Also we enjoyed eating pizza from a pop up stand at the local caravan park.

We hope to come again...our daughter is still talking about the tent :)

Excellent site with great nearby walks

The quiet seclusion of the camp site. The owners were very helpful with any issues you have free fire pits around the site.Free cooking facilities if neededAn honesty shop for a few essentialsExcellent shower and toilet facilities housed in an altered horsebox

Great place to just switch off to the world, and reset.

Nature, and the sounds at night. The fire pits (the best thing about camping). The people. Both the hosts and other campers were all lovely.Great, clean, facilities. No phone signal at all (3 network).

Excellent site. Highly recommended to families with small children.

Lovely small campsite on a working farm in a beautiful part of the country. The toilet and shower room is an excellent feature, as were the cooking facilities and honesty box for local produce.Welcoming and friendly owner.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay, the weather was not on our side, but even with heavy rain and gales the tent didn't budge and it didn't dampen our spirits. The children absolutely loved it and were thrilled that they were able to also go and visit the animals on the farm. The owners were fantastic, friendly, helpful, very knowledgeable for ideas on walks and where to eat, nothing was too much trouble. A very peaceful campsite, with great facilities, it was just the break we needed.

Lovely little site with quirky facilities in a horse box

Fantastic small site, friendly owner and great quiet location. Toilet and shower facilities were great - shower was powerful and hot! Provision of a wheelbarrow to help you move your kit from the carpark area to your camping pitch was very welcome, but the distance wasn't far really anyway so you could without. Location was great for exploring nearby Tenby Wells and Ludlow. Some beautiful surrounding countryside.

A beautiful clean site with large level tent pitches. Simply wonderful

The friendly owners, Emma could not have been more accommodating, even moving our booking when Storm Francis hit. The campsite is immaculate and Emma took the time to show us round the farm to meet piglets, calves and chickens. We even got to see two calves being born and my son got to name one. We were really unlucky with the weather but we had a brilliant time and met some amazing fellow campers. This is a beautiful peaceful campsite, suitable for families, solo travellers and couples. Anyone really but not somewhere to go wild and party. The tranquility should be preserved.

Excellent site with clean facilities, great staff.

The fact it was a working farm. We saw 2 cows give birth in the field next to our tents. Such a brilliant experience for the children.Smaller site so it was very personal and we felt at ease and very secure.Staff are so approachable and friendly and just went out their way to help us. Good local knowledge and links within the community and we were able to take the children fishing at a recommended area very close to the site.

Stayed for two nights at the start of the school summer holidays, and for the first of those nights we had the place to ourselves! Lovely little site with space for children to run around and spotless toilet & shower. You cannot park next to your pitch but the parking area is only a very short distance away and this in turn makes it safer for children. Was interested to hear of the plans that Emma has to create a separate tent area once she has two glamping tents - we would certainly come back with friends if we have the opportunity.

Would Recommend

Emma is working so hard to keep the site and all facilities clean and safe in these times. She can’t do enough to make sure everyone is happy and settled. A pretty setting with lovely towns to explore nearby. Our two young children loved playing on the site and we relaxed knowing that the efforts made to keep gates closed meant it was always safe for them. We were also lucky enough to enjoy sausages from Emma’s farm on our BBQ. Would definitely recommend.

Gorgeous Location

This is a gorgeous location with really good facilities. Plenty of hot water, shower pressure good, firewood available and a really clean site. Extra precautions in place for Covid-19 which put our minds at ease, owners quick to respond and friendly with recommendations. We would definitely come back again!

Review

Went for 2 nights bringing our own camping gear. Would recommend to everyone, beautiful, quiet spot with basic facilities. The owners were lovely, we had lots of space to do what we wanted and felt very relaxed. A hidden gem!

Excellent Facilities, Excellent Staff, could not fault a thing

The bell tent was amazing and the bed was super comfortable and warm. The toilet and shower facilities were excellent. Never used an eco toilet so didn’t know what to expect, but it was absolutely fine and I couldn’t smell anything. The host Emma was amazing. It was super clean and there were plenty of cleaning procedures in place due to COVID. Amazing I will definitely be going back. Off grid so no WiFi or signal but that didn’t bother me at all

A truly magical night’s stay.
This was our first time this year camping as a family and the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel safe and welcome. The bell tent was luxuriously equipped and comfortable and the owners had even provided local apple juice. The toilet and shower were clean and well kept with lovely hot water. Our group had an absolute blast and we can’t wait to go back.

I highly recommend this campsite. It is a small quite campsite - great if you want to get away for a peaceful few days. The facilities were good. Clean toilet and bathroom in an old horse box, which was done out lovely. Fire pit and logs were also available for chilly nights.

Glamping at its best!

The bell tent was huge with the comfiest bed. We loved the addition of the hot water bottles to keep us extra toasty during the chilly summer evenings. The kitchen was well equipped including firewood for the fire pit. The facilities were outstanding and very well maintained taking into consideration all the requirements of Covid-19 re-opening regulations. Using an old horse trailer is such a novel and unique way to keep the country feel on camp.

The host- Emma-was very welcoming and helpful from the minute we made our last minute booking through to check out.

Highly recommend this site if you want a chilled out break where you can enjoy nature but in luxurious surroundings.

Thank you By the Red Phone Box for accommodating us- we will be back ????

Stayed for 2 nights in July 2020 with my 11 year old daughter. What a lovely, lovely place. The tent was really comfy, the kitchen facilities were great and the whole layout has been carefully thought out. The fact that it is a small site, but with fantastic facilities, makes for a great stay - it is so nice to see somewhere with all the ‘little details’ in place. Hosts were friendly and helpful, from answering questions about the booking to providing firewood for the fire pit. We will be back. I cannot recommend this highly enough! Thank you

A lovely site for a peaceful camping break.

A really lovely, relaxed and peaceful campsite. The bell tent is spacious, clean and the bed very warm and comfy. Stayed here a couple of weeks ago after they had re-opened post lockdown. Loved the Bell Tent and the general set up of the site. Emma and Ian were very friendly and happy to help with suggestions of places to go nearby. Can't wait to visit again! Really beautiful and magical!

Please Can We Stay Forever

The pictures of this location and the detail of the facilities shown in the pictures do not do the location justice, it is magical and beautiful.

The night sky is full of amazing stars and it's so very quiet - with the odd owl, or horse. The beds are super comfy and the log burning stoves work very well to warm up the tents.

Wish we could have stayed for longer - will remember this for a very long time - Thank you Emma.

Beautiful & Unique

An absolutely beautiful and unique place to stay. Lots of help on booking also. Just wished we'd come during mid - summer and spent a full weekend.
