Working with Ron Snell has been an absolute joy and privilege. I would love nothing more than to give a list of all the things Ron has done for my wife and I but it would be too long for a reference letter. Probably the best thing I could say about Ron is he is still without a doubt my best resource in Costa Rica. He is long past the sale, in fact over a year has passed since we purchased our property, and Ron continues to help me with all manner of things. After the sale, when there was no more commission coming for Ron, he was still there and he was helping in ways you would not imagine. Ron introduced me to various builders and architects. Ron helped me find people with the equipment to chop our area and work on our driveway. Ron helped me understand Costa Rica rules and regulations. In other words, Ron cares about the people he works with and it shows. He will not make the sale and disappear check in hand. I have purchased many properties in the United States and worked with all sorts of realtors. Some were good some were bad. None of them worked for me like Ron. He put up with our questions and confusion. He was there all the way through the process. He seems to know someone for any situation you may encounter. This I believe is due to his reputation in the area for treating people well. His knowledge of the area is the best and his work ethic is incredible. I cannot recommend him more strongly if you are interested in Costa Rica.
Ron has been a great resource not only for purchasing a property in Costa Rica but also just for general education. He has been very patient and always readily available as we worked together for over a year and changed our strategy during the process. Along the way Ron has helped introduce us to valuable resources via his network, all of whom I must say are just super good people – not surprising good people run around together. Ron is always available to talk about almost anything in a very approachable way while being very candid – which I love. We will use Ron again for sure in the future and consider him as one of our new-found friends in Costa Rica.
I would highly recommend Ron and his professionalism to anyone. I was amazed how simple it was to purchase the property of our dreams. Most important out of the gate: Ron is HONEST. He would rather lose a sale than sell you a klunker. He is THAT honest! He comfortably shares options and opinions, and is not afraid of snakes or climbing through dense jungle to show you your best view! He is funny and so very knowledgeable about flora, fauna, bugs and amphibians - and is simply, a wonderful human being. Ron knows the area, understands the challenges of moving from the US to Costa Rica, and stays on top of current pricing trends in the Southern Pacific Zone. This charming man speaks fluent English and Spanish, and has lived and traveled over much of the world.
We very much enjoyed our house hunting with him, and have made life long friends with he and his lovely wife, Tammy. It was a pleasure working with Ron Snell and we love our new home!!!
