Since 1982 I have in general loved working with people of all ages and backgrounds who have also shared a passion for ensuring that some of the 188,000 Scots who are blind or partially sighted can access the news. Ideally rather than being fundraiser and spender in chief I would love to spend more time in the studios. For now that is just a wish.
We had a team of four this morning with two eager folk learning to read into a microphone, by the end of the session they were getting on well. Over the last few years we have been recording The National for Cue and Review with a team of volunteers we have met some lovely folks. We have shared some laughs, drank several cups of coffee and bottles of water. Its an ideal way to make a difference, especially if you have a busy lifestyle or perhaps don't have the mobility to walk the street giving out leaflets or follow a march through the town. Come and join us:-)
Great service for blind people. Allows people to enjoy and disappear into other worlds. Admire the people who give up their time to help and make blind people's life more enjoyable bring music and laughter and sories alive. Lxx
