  Transitioning a loved one from the hospital knowing they will not be able to receive the best care needed from their large residential care facility was a difficult choice. We were given the names of a few homes that would be able to provide the Hospice care she needed. Gem Oaks was the first & only home we visited because of the beautiful home & the warmth & understanding of the owners Ernis & Emma & their wonderful caregivers. Our mom received constant attention homemade food & loved having the resident cats outside her patio doors. She was always treated with kindness & knowing she was content in this home made us know we made the right choice for her final months.   We always knew that we did not want to put our mother in a Convalescent Hospital. When the time came that she needed more care we decided to check out a small, residential facility. Gem Oaks has been more than we ever hoped for. The loving care she received made us feel so comfortable and grateful. These people are healthcare professionals who have made their beautiful home into an exceptional care facility.
