I've had a lifelong allergy to the gym but training with James has changed my whole whole outlook on fitness. Having had surgery to repair a total rupture of my ACL James has patiently but firmly pushed me through the rehab which he tailored specifically for my injury. As a result I feel fitter & stronger than I have in years. Not only that, but I now look forward to my sessions. James is a great motivator, he has confidence in me even when I doubt my own abilities & each session ends with a great sense of achievement. I can't recommend him highly enough

James is focused on helping me achieve my goals and makes every session challenging (and somehow fun). My fitness has increased noticeably and I’ve seen improvements in my ability to complete more core exercises, lift progressively heavier weights & generally push myself harder throughout each session. He ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any injuries, is always very encouraging and has a vast knowledge of his profession. I find I am actually looking forward to my workouts.
James is extremely reliable and punctual, outcome focused and passionate about what he does. The sessions are run in a relaxed yet supportive environment.
If motivation, flexibility, and a personal approach is what you're looking for in a PT, then James is the man for you!

I work long hours at a desk all day and having got to the age where my metabolism has slowed down and woke up one day and realised I was looking a bit too "healthy" in all the wrong areas!

I found James and we have been training with for over a year now. In that time I have lost a stone in weight and am feeling much more healthy (but in the right places!).

He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and always helps to keep me motivated (which is no small feat).

My son, who is the other extreme to myself in that he rows and does several hours of exercise/training a day, also trains with James and despite very different goals to myself has been very happy with the advice James has given and the results he has achieved.

I honestly have no hesitation in recommending that anyone who wants PT sessions to give James a call. Personally cant think of anyone better.

When I found James I was in desperate need of help and some guidance in order to bring myself back.

I could not be happier with the results, as he has been nothing but, efficient, extremely flexible, approachable, caring and a great motivator with lots of knowledge.

He taught me some of his techniques that worked and kept monitoring the actual exercises to ensure I was doing it correctly, and when my body was about to get tired, he managed to find the last bit of strength in me, making me feel a lot better from day one, not only physically but mentally too.

For that reason I highly recommend him, whatever your goals are, if in doubt, have a word with James to try and get you back on track.

Whatever you do, I would advise you to just start it as oppose to delaying it, It may seem hard to begin with but with his help, in time it’ll be a lot easier for you.

He can also give you some tips on food routine in order to help you achieve your goal even faster.

He won't let you give up. He knows his stuff doesn't just talk the talk he walks the walk . He totally understands the client individually. When I first started looking for a personal trainer I was out of shape and unfit. Three years previously I had been a group exercise instructor (part –time) and had an excellent level of fitness. Unfortunately I became unwell with Guillain-Barre Syndrome and unable to walk. After such a debilitating illness I had to learn to walk again and recovery and rehabilitation took 12months. However I struggled to regain my fitness and I gained weight and unwanted body fat.
When I approached James in August (2017) I was unconfident and out of shape. He listened to my goals and carefully built a programme suited to my needs – acutely aware of my journey. He suggested how I could make better food choices and train more effectively in the week and was extremely motivating in his approach. Building intensity slowly.
I have been working with James for over 3 months now. The result is that I have dropped a clothes size and fit into my 32 inch jeans with ease, I am leaner and toned- friends and family have commented on how leaner I look and how much happier and confident I am in myself. I have almost regained the fitness level I had before my illness and I am stronger. I enjoy my workouts and regained my enjoyment of fitness. James knows his stuff and I feel I have gained knowledge in how to target the muscles I am working on – through illness and bad habits my posture is poor and James is working to improve this with me.

Had my first session with James today at the Thames club.
I found that James was very informative and knew what he what talking about.
