I still can't say enough good about these guys! As anyone who gets a lot of mileage out of his weapon knows, there's routine maintenance and semi-routine maintenance. Routine is the stuff we should do ourselves, semi-routine maintenance requires a combination of talent, skill, and tools. Once again, the team at KoryuCrafts did my semi-routine maintenance, in timely fashion, at a fair price, and to an exceptionally high standard. Don't let your Tsuka stay loose or your shinkan get dull: send it to these guys and keep your arms at a high level of readiness! Thanks again to Ben and Owen.
Ben Couch did a wonderful job in building me a fine new tsuka, and wrapping it very professionally. I finally got to practice with it tonight, and the tsuka feels great. It has brought an old iaito back to life. Thanks Koryu Crafts. The price was as advertised, it was done when they said it would be done, they communicated with me every step of the way, even sending me photos at the half way point, and it arrived done above my expectations. I have already recommended them to one person in my dojo. A pleasure to do business with you!!!
Working with Ben Couch of Koryu Crafts and Goya Kenny was pleasure I would repeat anytime. Their high level of skill, excellent customer service and passion for their craft was refreshing and set my mind at ease during a lengthy custom project. From Goya's high quality hand-made fittings and woodwork to Ben's expert tsukamaki, everything was done in a professional manner. Goya went out of his way to make sure that the overall vision came to pass without compromising his own creativity and Ben literally went to the end of the earth and back to make sure the right materials were used for the job all while being polite, thorough and informative. I will be sure to make use of both craftsmen again in the future!
