As an occupational therapy student that was fortunate enough to have an internship placement with Paper Plane Therapies, there are so many wonderful things I could say about all of the amazing therapists and environment they have created. Paper Plane has this incredible way of making everybody feel like a somebody.
I had the privilege of working directly with OT Kendra for three months, and I will be forever be thankful to Kendra’s dedication to teaching me as much as she could during our time together. I continuously find myself as a now practicing clinician asking myself, "What would Kendra do?" Kendra provides services that are the absolute heart and soul of what pediatric occupational therapy is. Every single child and family that works with her have nothing but wonderful things to say, and their child’s progress reflects Kendra’s efforts.
The day I had to leave Paper Plane for my next internship rotation was a very difficult day, this group of therapists creates lasting relationships and impacts on the lives of every child and family they work with. I would recommend their services to any and every family!
Paper Plane Therapies is truly filled by therapists that come to work because they want to be there. They love what they do, because they know each child they come in contact with, is worth loving, and encouraging.
If you have a child, or know of a child that has a need for a general, or specific therapy, please give these lovely ladies a call. I will guarantee they will inspire you when you are in your lowest valley, and cry with you, when your child reaches a peak that they never thought they could climb. Paper Plane therapies knows, that Tough Times don't last, but Tough People do! Please keep paper Plane Therapies and all small businesses in your thoughts and prayers, as they toughen up for these tough times ahead.
If you are looking for dedicated and caring individuals to help with your child’s needs then you have found the right place! Chelsey, Jill, and their team go above and beyond to assess and assist children with varying abilities. Their dedication to Occupational and Speech Therapies is unmatched and the love they have for children is evident in every inch of their office. Highly recommend!
We have been so impressed with our experience at Paper Plane Therapies! Our daughter looks forward to her appts and has shown remarkable progress over the years.
Paper Plane has been a huge blessing! We highly recommend them!
I’ve seen Chelsey work with so many children. She is so patient, kind and incredibly talented in what she does! The Paper Planes team is so knowledgeable and they care for each child they come in contact with! Highly recommend!
We have been going to Paper Planes for almost 2 years now, and have zero complaints. Our son loves to go and his improvement has been fantastic. The growth with his speech and sensory processing disorder have been wonderful to watch. We would recommend them to anyone!
We did parent coaching recently at Paper Plane with Chelsey (who’s an amazing occupational therapist... and also just a super awesome gentle spirit). We got to do a whole sensory profile, and work with Chelsey over a few weeks to find parenting solutions to help reduce Amelia’s struggles to maintain calm, and the way her emotions could carry her away (in the form of tantrums for sometimes almost an hour).
The sensory profile we filled out with Chelsey allowed us to find out some really amazing, specialized things about our kiddo. Then, we were given tools to help her thrive. Unique tools, just for us!
Yes, the parenting part was wonderful, and we saw immediate improvements in our household peace by implementing the skills we were taught. BUT I also want to take a minute to talk about how much this also helped my marriage! My husband was able to phone call in so he didn’t have to miss anything!! Him being able use his lunch break to do this ensured he and I had an action plan, TOGETHER. One with someone we both trust, respect, and admire. This action plan has created a wild amount of positive affirmations, calm, and thriving communication between my toddler and I about mindfulness and our feelings.
I and so endlessly thankful for now Paper Plane has helped my family.
As a physical therapist in the area I always recommend Paper Plane Therapies to anyone in search of a pediatric specialist. The therapists are extremely knowledgeable and go above and beyond for the families they work with. You won't find a more caring or knowledgeable team anywhere else.
Our family loves Paper Airplanes so much! My 5-year-old son has been having a hard time managing his body and feelings. This was causing stress, frustration and heartache for everyone! We knew he had the potential and ability, but we needed help, support and strategies. Kendra has had 5 sessions with him and within 3 sessions we were seeing his BEST self! The environment is intimate and family and child-focused (and totally adorable). All the therapists are doing beautiful and meaningful work. Kindness, competency and positive change thrive here. My son wishes he could see Kendra every day. She has made him feel so special, important and empowered to develop awareness of his body and behavior and how to keep it under control. She provides parents support and education in bringing skills home and we feel empowered now too. It does feel magical, but OT is an evidenced-based intervention for so many challenges. In my son’s case, it was the missing link for parents that are both behavioral health therapists that work with children. Behavioral interventions weren’t working because sensory integration was the primary issue. Deep gratitude Kendra & Paper Planes Friends!!!
My daughter has been seeing Miss Nicole here for the last 8 weeks...and has made more progress than she has in the last 18 months! We are so inspired and hopeful thanks to the services provided by Paper Plane Therapies. We feel like our voices are actually heard. Thanks for everything you're doing to help our daughter overcome her swallowing difficulties!!
I spent an afternoon shadowing Chelsey, Kendra and Rachel while they led therapy sessions, and had an incredible time! They are so knowledgable, and use their skills to allow for flexibility with the patients interests, while still working in their goals. The atmosphere at Paper Plane Therapies is so positive and encouraging, even for me as an observer! They left me feeling welcomed and motivated. It is clear they love what they do, and they are good at it. I would highly recommend coming here for any OT or speech needs!!
I had the opportunity earlier this summer to visit Paper Plane Therapies and shadow their amazing staff. As an OT student who aspires to work with the Pediatric population one day, my time at Paper Plane Therapies was truly inspirational. The team here is so welcoming and very kind! They were so helpful and taught me so much. Not just educational things but how important their relationships are with their kiddos and their kiddo's family. I love the atmosphere here!!
I am a student looking to go to graduate school for Occupational Therapy and I recently observed at Paper Plane therapies. Truly one of the best locations I have seen yet. All of the employees were exceptionally knowledgeable and it was very evident that they each deeply cared about their patients. Simply put, I was very impressed.
If there is anything you need for your children, Paper Plane Therapies is the place to go. Chelsey and Jill are an absolute DELIGHT to work with and truly work in the best interests of the parents and children.
I feel absolutely blessed to have met Chelsey and Jill and to have experienced the life changing work they do at Paper Plane Therapies !
Paper plane therapies has been a life changer for my kids and our family. Two of my kiddos started with Chelsey for occupational therapy to address sensory needs such as the ability to regulate their bodies and emotions, motor planning, visual challenges, body awareness, food anxieties, chewing on fingers and toes, just to name a few:) My kids love going to therapy each week and look forward to it...they feel good and we notice the changes in behavior. Recently due to vacation and illness we missed a couple of weeks and this was so hard for my little guy, he became fidgety, anxious and it was apparent he was feeling very disorganized, after our return to therapy his behavior changed drastically. Unbelievable. We used to be a family that did not use the word "flexible" in our vocabulary, it did not exist at our house and most of our outings were highly structured around fear of our daughter melting down...flexible is now a word we use proudly at home and outings as a family have been replaced with confidence that we are equipped with the knowledge and skills to help her through the "tough" moments. Recently, our daughter had some concerns arise with school, auditory processing, expressive language, organization and comprehension challenges so we started working with the speech therapist Jill. This support from Jill has made such a huge impact on our daughter's confidence. The combined support from Jill and Chelsey has impacted our family and our quality of life as a family in powerful ways and we are so grateful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
I cannot say enough about Chelsey and Jill. They are answers to our prayers and we adore them both so much. If you have any concerns with your kiddos, don't hesitate to call. They are the most compassionate caring individuals you will ever meet. And they CARE, they really really CARE about both you and your child. We are so grateful for these therapists and all they have done.
We are so grateful for Jill Miller! She is patient, customized her approach, and demonstrates her care for the "whole" child. Jill has journeyed with our family for 3 years; we cannot express our gratitude for empowering our son.
I have seen Chelsey work magic now for about a year. I have nothing but amazing things to say about her work. The program she uses is so effective. I have recommended her to many other families that I know with children who require OT. She does an amazing job keeping the child on task and focused. Her patience is outstanding. She's always positive, kind, and inspirational. I would recommend her 10 times out of 10 to anybody. Paper planes therapy is the best OT therapy that I have seen out of 3 other therapy locations I have observed as well.
Chelsey is absolutely amazing! Her work with our daughter has been such a blessing! Every week she changes based on what our daughter needs that week. She truly loves her work, and the children she works with. She has so much knowledge and expertise to share. She truly has impacted our lives in every way!!! The addition of speech (Jill) has been absolutely wonderful as well! You will never find more knowledgeable, loving, dedicated people!!! TRULY BLESSED TO HAVE THEM WORKING WITH MY DAUGHTER!!!!
Chelsey has been working with our son for 3 years now. Her professionalism, dedication, and personal interest in our son is like none other. Chelsey has a unique gift of knowledge and compassion that she gives to our son. He has gained confidence and skills with Chelsey that we are so grateful for. She established a trusting relationship with him that allowed her to challenge and help him grow. She has a way with him and makes him feel important. The changes we have seen in his social interactions and how he faces challenges are attributed to the tools Chelsey has given him.
My son has been seeing Chelsey for about 2 years and we couldn't be more pleased with his progress. His anxiety levels are down and his grades are up! You can really tell that Chelsey enjoys working with "her" kids. I would highly recommend Paper Plane Therapies for anyone looking for an Occupational Therapist.
Every experience we've had at therapy has been phenomenal. I think the part I love the most is how important and special you've become to Logan. I love that each time we've been to see you you made him (and I) feel like he was important to you. It's never felt rushed...and therefore has always felt beneficial. Things I have actually seen change in him: everything on a social level. I almost enjoyed those "social lesson" sessions more than anything. I love that you give us things to "work on" at home. It's made my husband and I feel like we're able to help him more. You call or text to see how Logan is doing. Before our initial session, I seriously thought that there was no hope or help for Logan. We'd even been denied help by our school. You literally helped us unlock a piece of Logan that we didn't know was in there. There is NOTHING about me that could find words to thank you enough.
