The Perma Plate Appearance Package through Siskin Enterprises in Salt Lake City, Utah is a rip - off. They will come up with a reason to deny coverage on anything on you ask them to repair. For example, my steering wheel faded. They denied the claim. See the following from them: Discoloration on the steering wheel cracking on plastic Product: Leatherguard Status: Denied Code: Inconsistent - Leatherguard Denial Reason: The warranty of the protection product you purchased covers the treated interior leather or vinyl from fading, staining, or cracking and offers limited coverage for rips, tears, and burns. The reported damage is not consistent with your coverage. THE STEERING WHEEL IS FADED! I was told they would send me somewhere so a technician could look at it; however, they made this decision based on a cell phone photo. Don't waist your money buying their protection package. They will deny your claim.

Buyers Beware! I purchased the protection through Mercedes Benz in Gainesville Florida, it’s nothing more than a band aide. I was told that my seats would be replaced if I had a tear, Rip in my seats it would be replaced. I placed a claim, they did nothing more than spray paint it. I am very disappointed!

Filing a claim was very easy, the technician came to my work to clean the stain in my car and was very professional and friendly. He was also done within a half hour and made sure that I new he was finished, that my car was locked, and left a card in case there were any issues. I filed a claim about the hard water spots on my hood, roof and trunk. My claim was denied because Siskin quoted “The warranty of the protection product you purchased covers specific environmental damages on treated exterior surfaces. The reported damage is not consistent with your coverage”. Siskin send a technician in goodwill to repair my car. After the technician was finish, my car looks brand new. The product was worth it.

Tech was running behind the day of my appointment and kept me updated as to his arrival time. I had requested to have my repairs completed in the employee lot at my job during my workday. They are very unresponsive. When I initiated my first claim, I received an email that it would be up to two business days for a response. After one week, I called to see what was going on. They just said "sorry, this is our busy season, but I'll expedite your claim". Another several days went by with no word, so I called again, this time more flustered. They processed and approved the claim a few hours later. So then the technician comes out. Very friendly, good guy. (The only reason this is 2 stars rather than 1.) He couldn't get the stain out and told me to reach back out to process another claim for unrepairable damage. I sent an email to the company and NINE days went by with no response. I called and the guy who answered said that they were working on it but that they need pictures to proceed. I asked him, "how was I supposed to know that pictures were needed when you haven't even responded to me email". He obviously didn't get it or care, because all he said was "I'll send you an email requesting the pictures after we hang up. Give me 2-3 minutes". So after I hang up I wait... 45 minutes.... and nothing. I called back and the lady who answered was better than the last guy, but she was just as confused. She checked with her team and said that the claim had just been filed 45 minutes ago and that it normally takes 2-3 business days to process and for them to email me needing pictures. I explained what the guy on the previous call had said and she didn't know why he told me it would be a few minutes. She sent me an email while we were on the phone requesting the pictures and asked that I respond to that. This company obviously has a weak process. They are dropping the ball, miscommunicating, and being very unresponsive. Why do I have to do all of these follow up emails/calls to get them to do their job and process my claims properly? If I could go back in time, I would not have spent all the money I did for this protection plan, especially with a company that obviously doesn't care.

When I bought this originally from Autonation Hayward Toyota, it sounded okay, but I didn't think that much about it. So we bought a 7 year warranty package where the leather would be cleaned. Sure enough on year 7 after the Toyota extended warranty exhausted on my Highlander with leather seats I became interested in trying this out. I filed the claim-called the customer service number to make sure the details were correct and then after several days of processing, the claim was approved and then I worked with a staff member named Michelle to coordinate the cleaning specialist appointment. Upon arrival, he showed up on time and explained things, I signed a few papers and he started. About an hour later, he was done and the leather looked as good as the day I bought the car in 2012-and he gave me some suggestions such as stating if a car has a dark interior, it 'hides' dirt better because it is harder to see. My Toyota Highlander has a leather grey interior so it is easy to see dirt and such. I hadn't really ever given much thought to the interior color mattering all that much, but he had a valid point. All-in-all, I was pleased with the quality of work done and would recommend them for anyone who wanted extended leather cleaning coverage.

My experience with PermaPlate was horrible and I suggest you to think twice about purchasing a warranty. The services is not free if you purchased a warranty. They use aftermarket parts and use a disclosure saying you didn't ask for OEM parts. My windshield was replaced with an OEE part and my rain sensors don't work. I was told my car is older and it needs to be calibrated so take it to BMW. The customer service claim representative was rude and ensured me that if the recorded call didn't reflect me asking for an original part they wouldn't reinstall the correct windshield. Why but a high end luxury car and pay for an appearance package warranty if your warranty uses aftermarket parts that's makes your amenities less useful. I spoke with a supervisor that told me he's the only person to handle claims and I would have to email customer service to file a complaint that will come back to him. I'm livid and feel like I been ripped off. I'm heading over to BMW tomorrow and if the issue isn't resolved I'll take legal action. I shouldn't have to miss work to rectify a error on their part. Everything has been documented.

The “ technician “ they assigned has canceled his appointments with me 2 different times and I am unable to get anyone to even look at the car. It has been almost a month since my first opening the claim!!! This is fraud!!!! You cannot sell warranties and refuse to even look at the cars when you get a claim!
