This is such a great book. The layout is gorgeous. The artwork is top notch, and the insights are compelling. Once you start reading through, you can easily see that Pip has poured his heart and soul into this project..
A quality “pick it up, put it down” book that has something in it new every time you look at it. Beautifully presented and printed, the illustrations are outstanding. Brilliant present for anyone interested in 80s music or pop art.
A great book full of facts and images about 80's heroes
Pip Pop Art is fabulous. We have bought a painting before which is fabulous and more recently some books. All arrived immaculately and in good time. I have had fabulous correspondence with Pip Pop Art too, any questions or queries I have had have been answered the same day. I would highly recommend this organisation. Great company, great products and great communication!
Pip Pop, The Art of 80 feels like sinking into the warmest, softest sofa and being surrounded by old friends you’ve missed without even knowing it. Page after page, treasured memories are revived — familiar stories, and new ones that fit right in — and for those of us shaped by the music of the ’80s, it’s a powerful reminder of why that decade will always stand unmatched in creativity and sound. With every chapter, I felt time gently rewind, as if I were growing younger with each turn of the page.
Thank you for creating and illustrating this heartfelt, unforgettable tribute to my youth. I know I’ll return to it again and again — and I sincerely hope a sequel will someday follow.
I really liked the book like the portraits of my many favourite artists, thanks Phil 😊
This book is a must for 80s music fans. The artwork is extraordinary. It is a gift for my friend. She will love it
What a refreshingly different brilliant book.
Not only does it take one back in time to the 80s scene, there's music too...
Well done! Your artwork is amazing!
Great gift for anyone !!
This book is amazing for everyone, but especially for those of us who grew up in the eighties. Pip was especially kind to me to send the book outside of the UK, which the publisher wouldn't do. So if you want this book too, but are no UK resident, just drop him a line and maybe he can help you too.
So pleased with my book artwork unbelievable and the stories relating to each artist are a great touch. All my favourite artists from the 80s are included.I was totally shocked by how good this book is and would highly recommend for any 80s music lover like myself.Thank-you for allowing me to share your fantastic work and remind me of the importance of music throughout my life 😀 keep doing what you are doing xx
Just reading this brings back such vivid memories of my life to this point, the gigs I went to, the records I bought, the stars I admired and even the 'clique' I based my life around! Then there is the art. The beautiful, striking art that captures the essence of those very artists and groups. Might be the best book I've ever bought!
I initially bought this for a good friend and fellow broadcaster, thing is I’ve still got it, I will get it to him but not until I’ve finished reading it!
It truly is a masterpiece, thoroughly engaging, enjoyable read
If you get the chance to buy one, you should
A colourful and thorough stroll through the icons of 80’s pop. Lovely reproductions of Pip’s colourful artworks, which bring a ‘pop’ art flavour to what are characterfully accurate depictions of our idols. A wonderful coffee-table book or a book to revisit periodically. Highly recommended.
This is a beautifully presented book. The 80's is an amazing time for music and art and this book combines both. So colourful representations of the people who were the 80's. Packed full of information and a beautiful read.
Beautiful book, I absolutely adore it
A vibrant trip back to the school yard. This book celebrates the pop idols who filled our headphones, decorated our blazers, and lit up our bedrooms via Smash Hits. It puts the art in pop, literally - a must-have for anyone who grew up in that golden era.
An amazing coffee table book. I purchased this for the Hazel O'Connor image but every image is superb and certainly a talking point with my visitors.
I’m such a fan of Pip’s art having bought a copy of his portrait of Dave Vanian and I immediately preordered his book when it went on sale. It’s a striking collection of images with accompanying stories which is a must for any fan of 80s music.
