When I found Pocketfull of Sunshine online and read Laura’s purpose for raising puppies, I knew it would be worth a wait and a flight across the United States to have one of her pups. The way she intentionally uses curriculum for experience and confidence building with her new puppies and meticulously discovers personalities so that families can find the right fit is truly outstanding. Our Sunshine pup Millie Jubilee is now 7 months old, and she is a delight to all. Critical life decisions are worth considering carefully, and the combination of the size and temperament of Laura’s dogs as a result of her program, along with her personal commitment to her clientele every step of the way is absolutely priceless.

I am delighted to have such a wonderful puppy from Pocket Full of Sunshine Miniature Golden Retrievers! My golden girl is a pure wonder and sometimes a little monster, but it’s all worth it and I love her completely. Laura Shorter sets her puppies up for success with the Puppy Method and other excellent training resources. Every time I look into my puppy’s hilarious smiling face, I see her pure joy and it lights up the room. My puppy truly is a pocket full of sunshine!

We purchased a pup from Laura and crew and could not be happier. The care our pup received was top notch. She came to us already trained and socialized. It was obvious that this is not a puppy mill, but a passion.

The process was seamless. We were constantly receiving pictures and videos of the litter as they were growing. We were made aware of the training the pups were receiving and able to see the temperaments of each of the pups through the videos and the testing.

We would highly recommend Pocket Full of Sunshine to any interested in acquiring one of these unique pups. They are adorable, cuddly, smart and Dottie is now a part of our family.

Laura at Pocket Full of Sunshine Golden Retrievors has done an amazing job preparing the puppies for their homes. Wonderful and personable and very knowledgeable in training from birth! By sharing how she was training them and being able to set up up same pet fence and crate the transition to home has been so easy as our sweet Dottie was trained well even at 9 weeks when we brought her home on a plane to Alaska! Highly recommend a pup from Pocketful of Sunshine as a you will having many joyful days with one of her pups!!

Laura Shorter and her love for pups is evident throughout the whole process. She was always super informative, communicative and flexible. She was always upfront and did all the dog behavior testing on video for everyone to watch and you can tell she spent effective time with the pups before we were able to pick them up. My significant other and I were able to meet both Laura and her husband and they are gems of people!

Now enough about Laura! The dogs are all darling. We were lucky enough to get one from her second liter and he has the best temperament - playful as a puppy should be and still so calm, even in Hoboken, just outside NYC, where there are so many sights and sounds to take in. I am very excited to send my next friend or family member to Laura for a pup!
