Sarthi was able to provide tele-rotations during a time where it was difficult to gain any clinical experience in the US. It can not be understated how important this was for everyone's journey towards residency. I, like many others, am thankful for this. The rotations in IM have been evidence-based and included direct face time with attendings. Thank you Sarthi. Keep up the good work.
My name is María Eugenia an IMG from México I had a "hands on" internal medicine rotation in Michigan. My experience in the clinic was not only a personal, but also a professional growth in my career. Dr. Saad is a great teacher; he always makes you questions and inspires you to never settle for the knowledge you have but to expand your mind to all the areas of medicine that you can conquer if you are willing to. Al Sarthi team is also always willing to help you, and solve your doubts with patience...They are definetely a great guidance for the USMLE journey. I will love to take my next rotation with them again.
It was a very useful experience with the great surgeon Dr. Richard as he lead us in joyful discussion about important topic and about his cases. I wish that you have another similar surgical rotations as I am intending to do more but your option in surgery are limited.
Tele-rotation was my first USCE which I did under Dr.Saad in Internal Medicine it was really an amazing experience! I got to see many patients from various fields which helped to build my foundation and interest in the field of Internal medicine. Also, I got access to the SOAP which I find it very interesting. All the doctors and other interns were so helpful and polite I was really amazed! I really appreciate the efforts which USMLEsarthi has done for us and consider myself as very lucky that I got the golden opportunity to get USCE by staying at home. Please! don't hesitate to join if you want this great experience. I will definitely recommend this if someone is interested.
I had a good experience doing a clinical based rotation at Dr Sharon’s office. I learned various treatment tactics for diseases like migraine , depression , anxiety and schizophrenia. I also came across learning various medical procedures like EEG , EMG and also examinations like mental status exam. Thus rotation was hands-on where i had opportunity to consult patients and take history and physical exam.
I enrolled in Internal Medicine Tele-rotation for four weeks with Dr. Lawler. we discussed the most common case presentation and learned a lot about evidence-based medicine. It was a wonderful experience.
I had a great experience in this rotation. Everything is very organized and well planned. I learned a lot from treatment to patient management skills. Both Dr Saad and Dr Michael are very helpful and very responsive to all the issues. Other stuffs in this clinic are great too. I highly recommend this rotation.
My experience with Detroit´s rotation at Dearborn was very pleasent. Dr.Saad is an excellent teacher, person & doctor. He is allways wiling to help you get as exposed to patients as possible and he inspires you. The exposure with the patients is great, you get to see patients by yourself which gives you the confidence of dealing difficult situations, and evaluate different cases of primary care medicine. Also the staff is amazing, I know COVID has impaired a lot of opportunities. Though it would be nice to put once in a while a feet in the hospital, even for one week, because 100% of the rotation was at a clinic setting, we don´t even where able to visit the hospital and that´s a shame. However rotation´s worth it, you will come back with a lot of knowledge and experience. It´s totally worth it they just need to put more effort in giving us the possibility to leave the "hospital experience" it would be great that once paid they send you the requirements for hospital rotations instead of giving them when you are already in the clinic and there´s no time to process the application for such hospital.
It was a refreshing experience to get clinical exposure from a different country sitting at your home. Dr. Lawler is a great teacher and I hope I have the opportunity of meeting him in person and learn more from him. Special Thanks to Toya, She is a delight and definitely made everything a lot easier, and is very approachable.
I tele-rotated with Dr. Coleman (IM). He was an amazing teacher. Learned so much about the current management for common conditions (COPD,DM,HTN,AF,CHF). He was very welcoming and friendly. I was very insecure at first since his class was heavily evidence based but because of his guidance I was able to enjoy the class very much and miss it quite.
My rotation with Dr. R was a great experience. Especially, since there are very few surgeons doing telerotations at the moment, I'm very grateful that I was able to connect with him. Over the course of 4 weeks, we discussed the major diseases in general surgery. We went over every aspect in detail from history to management. Although we could not see patients directly we discussed actual case presentations from his clinic as if we were the residents in charge and were free to ask about any doubts we had. He also gave advice on US surgical residency training in general. Dr. R was a great teacher and I thoroughly enjoyed my rotation with him. I would highly recommend it for anyone interested.
In this Pandemic, I really had an excellent opportunity to learn and expose the US healthcare system by doing Tele-rotation. I got the best chance to work with great doctors, physician assistants, and other Interns. And made really nice friends. Everyone were extremely helpful and so polite. This rotation also helped to built my foundation by getting to access to SOAP and communicating with different kinds of patients everyday. I will strongly recommend everyone to join the Tele-rotation if travel and finance is the issue for you. Trust me it's definitely worth it!
My rotation with Dr. Arain in Pediatrics in April of 2021 was absolutely wonderful! Dr. Arain is a great and caring teacher. She takes time to discuss each patient, and discuss relevant learning points. She is attentive and knowledgeable and answers all questions. Definitely an enjoyable rotation!
I would like to express my gratitude to USMLE sarthy for connecting me with Bluegrass FM and Pediatrics in Lancaster , KY. I had an awesome experience with both FM the Pediatrics tele-rotations with them. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn from Dr. Tariq Arain. His way of teaching is extraordinary, without pressure and feelings of inadequacy, he always makes sure not to leave anyone behind in the discussion part and does not put anyone down. Special thanks to USMLE Sarthi for helping us during these challenging times. I am also more than grateful for the opportunity to learn Pediatrics from Dr. Shaista Arain . I really appreciate the way she teaches us, the way she explains us cases and topics in details and easy to understand way, how she shows us things we need to know as lesions, rashes, etc. She never forgets us or ignores us when she is with her patients. I also love the way she explains to patients and parents theirs' or their child's condition and treatment options in a simple and understandable way. I am really happy to know Dr. Shaista Arain and to have this opportunity to learn from her. I am very impressed of her professional manner as a physician and educator as well. Thank you all, USMLE sarthi, and Bluegrass FM and Pediatrics, thank you, again for this great experience!
I had the opportunity to work with Dr Vinod Patel, in his clinic in Brooklyn, New York. I enjoyed a lot working there. Dr Patel & his team members are very supportive. Autonomy is given to the students, in terms of writing patient's notes, ordering relevant investigations, discussing the differential diagnoses, the treatment options, performing EKGs, ABIs and other cardiac procedures as well. It is a very busy rotation, with the average of 60-70 patients everyday. I got plenty of hands-on experience. Tele-consultations are also very frequent, so you will get enough tele-health experience. Dr Patel gives personal attention to each & every student working there and guides them through the journey of USMLE. He is extremely down to earth & friendly person. I learned a lot from him. I highly recommend this rotation to everyone. I enjoyed it to the extent that I am working extra weeks here. I thank SARTHI team for suggesting me this rotation.
I had a great experience during my rotation at Swedish Hospital affiliated clinic in Chicago. I met students from different countries and got to know their journeys about USMLE. The clinic team was friendly and at the same time educating us about practices in USA. The physician is very knowledgeable since he has been in this field for 40 years. He is a know it all when it comes to primary care and held our lectures very meticulously. He taught us a lot. We took history, learnt new softwares, gave vaccination shots and discussed about treatments and diagnosis. Overall it was a great experience. Thanks to usmle saarthi.
Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Bernad and Dr. Stein at his clinic in DC. Both attendings were very receptive to students' opinions and made sure our voices were heard. Students had plenty of opportunities to interact and take an elaborate history from patients at the clinic and had numerous opportunities to participate in workup and evaluation, including suggesting investigations and a treatment plan. There were also opportunities to present topics and receive feedback on how to deliver lectures. Dr. Bernad wrote me a very strong LOR at the end of the rotation. Would definitely recommend!
The 4 weeks pediatrics telerotation at Lancaster, KY was awesome. The doctor is sensitive to the needs and situation of each student and gives individual attention to each one. The rotation is comprehensive and covers all aspects of pediatric training possible in the telerotation setup including a topic presentation by the student. EHR documentation is observable, there are teaching video sessions interspersed with teaching pearls from the doctor based on her clinical experience. There is also the chance to interact with patients and contribute to clinical history
I rotated with Dr Saad in a telerotation. I was a bit nervous at first as this was my first US clinical experience. However, Dr Saad and the team were so warm and welcoming. I felt like part of the team from very early on. I quickly got comfortable and adjusted. They team was very constructive and I learnt so much from being a part of discussion and patient care. The access to EMR and direct interaction with patients made it feel just like an on-site experience. I have learnt so much. I enjoyed it enough to spend additional weeks! I wholly recommend this rotation without reservation. I look forward to doing a hands-on with the team!
My virtual rotation with Dr.Watts was a wonderful experience. I was a little bit hesitant about this the new format, but honestly, it was the best decision. Dr. Watts is a fantastic teacher. She makes sure you are improving, testing your clinical skills, presentations, and clinical making decisions through the simulation Lab sessions. We also got a free session in EMR. And I shouldn't forget freestyle Friday, where she guided us through the application process.
I highly recommend this rotation!
I had a best rotation that was arranged by Usmle sarthi at Dr.saad clinic. I loved the rotation so much that I ended up doing 3 months of rotation rather than just 1 . Dr.Saad was an excellent teacher and mentor , had a great learning experience. Thank you Usmle sarthi for providing me this opportunity and giving me this great experience
My experience was great very helpful and freindly environment and great learning opportunities with Dr saad I would definitely recomend usmlesarith for future resident to do their externship and reinforce their knowledge with patient from diffrent nationality and wide range of exposure to diferent
and unique medical cases.
I am doing telerotation with Dr. Saad at Dearborn, MI and it doesn't feel like I am doing a telerotation. The direct interaction with patients and direct access to EMR is exceptional. Especial thanks to Dr. Edmond and Dr. Micheal for always being there for us. The whole team is excellent and easy to talk to. Dr. Saad is a wonderful physician. The credit goes to the USMLEsarthi for arranging this wonderful rotation for us.
"It was a great 4 weeks of learning, invigorating discussions, case presentation and just interacting with different people albeit we were a small group. I got to revise my medicine and read up a lot in the last 4 weeks. Dr. Lawler has a fantastic approach to medicine. His love for learning and keeping abreast with medicine was evidenced by the fact that he never hesitated in asking basic sciences questions and was open to listening to our ideas and understanding. He enjoyed teaching us and enjoyed us sharing our knowledge too. I appreciated his emphasis on documentation, and the importance of having an evidence based approach to medicine both for the benefit of the hospital and the patient. I learnt a lot on the importance of understanding costs, policies and insurance which is crucial for us doctors in order to be the best that we can be for our patients in addition to knowledge, ethics and clinical acumen.I wish those 4 weeks hadn't gone by so fast."
I enjoyed working with Dr.Saad. One month rotation at Dr Saad’s clinic gave me firsthand exposure to addiction medicine and primary care in USA. It’s a one of the kind of rotation where you’re not just observing, but gives an opportunity to be a part of caring team. This helped me strengthen my communication and clinical skills. This rotation solidified my desire to pursue internal medicine residency and practice as primary care physician for my community. I will be always grateful to Dr.Saad and USMLE for giving me this opportunity. Thank you ????
I had an excellent rotation with the Doctor and learnt a lot. However, the organization and communication with the person in charge of the rotation was very poor.
I really enjoyed this detroit rotation in beumont hospital! It was such a nice experience .They gave us access to EMR which is the best part.It was a telerotation but was even better than in person.I highly recommend this rotation to everyone.Along with that Thank you USMLEsarthi for helping me out! I wish I knew you guys before! Arati was really helpful in arranging the rotation she patiently answered all my queries,I really took her lots of time but she was always very nice. Highly recommend USMLEsarthi
Managed to see a variety of cases. Learned a lot about addiction medicine, a field that I had very little experience in.
Dr. Saad let's you present cases to him and teaches you a few points with each case. The clinic is busy so had an opportunity to see ample number of patients. He is very approachable and will get to know you personally during your rotation.
Office staff are very friendly and helpful.
Tele rotation in this pandemic was the USCE that I could have had. The experience of getting one was very easy via sarthi. Toya was extremely cordial. Dr Joseph Thomas exposed us to a wide range of topics from obstetrics, robotics, nutrition and managerial skills. I will forever be thankful to Arati, Pawan, Toya and Dr Thomas for this wonderful experience of tele rotation.
My rotation with Dr. Coleman was indeed one of the best U.S clinical experiences I had. I learned more about the importance of evidence-based medicine and how to apply it in patient's treatment. I was glad to join this rotation. I totally recommended it.
Amazing service on the part of sarthi team for arranging the rotation at the peak time. Highly recommend their services. The experience in terms of telerotation was very unique and resourceful. I enjoyed every bit about it.
I took the internal medicine telerotation with Dr.Coleman for one month. It was very well planned with extensive case discussions.Dr.Coleman was very friendly and kind. Thanks to the Sarthi team for organising the rotation.
Great experience, affordable and helpful physicians
I have done 2 rotations with Usmlesarthi group. One in Chicago and the other in Detroit. I had a great experience with them for a less price. The doctors they are associated with are super friendly and helpful.
Hi, the Detroit rotations are busy and gain lot of experience with patient and with EMRs. Both locations hand handsful patients with variety of cases on day to day basis which was a great learning experience.
Amazing experience with William Beaumont physician
I had the opportunity to rotate with Dr. Abdulhassan Saad MD, Addiction Medicine specialist based in Michigan. He is affiliated with William Beaumont Hospital. Because of the COVID-19 crisis, it was a telerotation. Nevertheless, the experience was amazing. It was well organised, and the Dr.Saad's team was very helpful with guiding me all through. Dr.Saad is a very friendly physician and a wonderful teacher. I got to learn so much from him virtually and also made us present cases to his interns online. He always asked us interesting and thought provoking questions. If given a chance, would want to rotate with him in person. Overall, a great experience
Thank you for giving me an opportunity to learn from Dr. Coleman. He's such an amazing personality. His way of teaching new things is just extraordinary and he always makes sure not to leave anyone behind in the discussion part and more importantly does not put anyone down. This rotation is of its own type. I am hoping to do more such rotations.
I have been rotating since the whole year in Family Medicine and I have spent thousands in the rotation before I have joined with USMLEsarthi. I am telling you from the core of my heart that I never saw a physician teacher like Dr. Coleman. he is an Amazing Doctor, Kind Human and Excellent Teacher!- This is my first telerotation.
