Guest Presenter for Peer Helping 11/12 High School Course
Christine Chou led a workshop for 20 students in my Peer Helping course which is designed for Grade 11/12 students who have an interest in pursuing a career in counselling, teaching or therapy. Christine’s workshop was dynamic, engaging, informative and incredibly well received. Christine guided the students through experiential learning activities that taught them listening and counselling skills as well as providing opportunities for them to develop empathy and see new perspectives. Her warmth, patience and expertise were evident in every aspect of the session from her interactions with the students to her ability to field complex questions. The generosity of giving her time and knowledge is so greatly appreciated and has made a difference in how our students now interact with each other and care for their peers.
