I debated on leaving a review, but I would hate to have anyone else have my experience. I went in for an appointment with Quinn a week before my wedding (she's fantastic!). When I arrived I was given to a different stylist, I won't publicly blast her name, but Urban needs to address her training. I assumed she would be talented and went through with the appointment. As she started bleaching my hair, she tells me she's new, but not to worry "she did color at Great Clips before this". This is when I should have left. My hair is typically weaved with bleach, this did not happen, and I began to panic. The longer I sat in the chair the more I noticed nothing was being done as I was used to. The new stylist opened a foil and asked if my hair looked correct...I've never looked at my hair with bleach so I had no idea, but I knew I had been sitting with bleach on my hair for far too long, told her it was fine. We went to tone and wash my hair, the toner was not left on my hair long enough and I later found out that not all the bleach was washed out. I asked to have my eyebrows waxed....she waxed off the tips of my brow but nothing in-between, under or around the actual eyebrow. Once back in the chair the stylist could barely get a comb though my hair, it was bright orange near the root and straw yellow throughout. The texture also resembled straw. I wanted a trim, and she cut something off my hair but since she never fully brushed my hair out it was incredibly uneven. While drying, my hair she said I had a ton of breakage, which I didn't prior to walking in, but because of the breakage she was just going to let me leave with it damp. I told her my hair was typically styled and that's what I wanted this time, hoping it would look somewhat okay styled...it didn't. She never fully dried my hair, the root was damp and I heard the sizzle as she tried to curl the ends. I left the salon with partially damp but curled hair. In my car I saw the true extent of the damage. I tried to brush my hair and watched/heard it rip/ break and fall out along with little bits of bleach crumbles from the hair around my neck line. I panicked went home and washed all the bleach out, and called the stylist doing my hair and makeup for my wedding who thankfully was able to squeeze me in a day before the wedding to correct the mess on my head. It cost cost me an additional $400 to fix Urbans mistake. The sylist fixing my hair equated my hair to the likes of "kraft macaroni and cheese" showed me how the highlights weren't even brought to my hair line and the uneven cut I received. Thank God for this stylist who fixed my eyebrows and as much of my hair as she could, and explained all of the errors made. Because of Urbans damage my hair color was forced to be too light and is no where near what I am used to, but at least it looked professionally done thanks to my other stylist and the 6 hours I spent with her. I will never return to Urban and caution anyone against going here especially if you have an important event soon after .... I was too panicked after the appointment and now truly regret not saying anything at the salon out of consideration for the sylist standing in front of me. However, looking at the situation now, I am out so much money and have to be reminded daily of the damage this salon caused by the severe breakage I have now due to bleach damage. The absolute best part is I get to look at my wedding photos with my destroyed hair for forever.

Can't say enough good things about this place! I had moved to Cincinnati in July this year knowing nobody. I usually have my hair colored a bright purple underneath and was looking for a new salon to keep this up. After reading reviews I decided to try this place (also this was one of the only salons I had found in all my research that gave reasonable prices for "fun" colors). Grace was the stylist who did my color and it was PERFECT! Exactly what I wanted and the dye she used ended up lasting me for more than 2 months! (which if you've ever had your hair dyed fun colors they usually fade pretty fast) When I went back in last week I still had quite a bit of purple in my hair but it was fading out to blue in certain spots so I wanted to go ahead and get it redone. I used Grace again and she also cut my hair this time - the purple came out a little darker this time because I still had quite a bit left in but was still gorgeous! And I feel like it'll probably last even longer this go around! My hair is fine but I have a lot of it so finding a stylist who's good about cutting it and not making it look super choppy on the ends is difficult sometimes; Grace did an excellent job there too! Highly recommend!

I visited this salon after my sister went first. She was happy with their service and so was I. My pocketbook definitely paid, but I will say it’s worth it to be completely happy with your style and color!
The girl I had was very knowledgeable in types of products and the items she sent me home with I actually keep using!
The staff was kind and everything flowed well. The scents were amazing and their hair rinsing chairs have a recline for your feet! I mean how awesome is that??! I would recommend the salon to friends and family!

Shout out to Quinn for the amazing balayage! I would recommend Quinn and Urban Salon to anyone looking for high quality service at a lower price. I also really appreciated the safety precautions being taken (i.e. face masks were required, social distancing was in place, and customers were asked about exposure to COVID19). I live in Chicago but try to visit Urban whenever I'm in Cincinnati (instead of getting my hair done in Chicago) because it saves me at least $100.

Great place, worth every penny! Glad to go somewhere where I know my hair is taken care of so well! I use to go to cheap places and they would do so carelessly and would take over an hour because they couldn’t work with my thick hair (which isn’t even as thick as others) but going to Urban Salon, I receive great customer service every time and always have great conversations with the stylists!

Highly recommend. I made an appointment for my husband and mentioned to the woman I spoke to that he has not cut his hair short in over 10 years and was nervous. She was super nice about it, and recommended katie, who was very familiar with mens haircuts. She did a phenomenal job and gave him a really nice hair cut. She was very kind to him through the whole process and it looks so good. I believe I will be also switching to Valenti in the future.

I’ve only dyed my hair one time in high school. You know, bleached it dyed it blue. Hated it, so I let it grow out. Mackenzie Field did my hair for the first time (since the horrifying incident) and I love it! My hair still feels SUPER healthy! She helped me create exactly what I wanted and gave me some great products to keep my hair healthy. I would absolutely recommend Urban Salon to anyone looking to get exactly what you want and to be treating with respect. Can’t wait to go back and get my hair touched up!

I received a call to come in and have my hair fixed. I was inforned of a 2 week guarantee. This is so helpful for clients and stylists alike.
My hair was fixed! No more red!
So thankful i was given the opportunity to have this done.
Grace and Quinn spent SIX HOURS removing color from my hair. SlX.
They removed the pigment from my hair by bleaching (and reapplying) followed by toning twice. I received a protein treatment. And then lastly they covered my hair with 2 different shades of a rich, chocolate brown.
These ladies did a killer job and set me up for success!

I've been trying to figure out how to review this salon based off of my experience without being upset.
I would like to first start off with saying that i expected to be in the salon for a longer period of time, and also was ready and willing to pay more for the services that i explained i needed to have done.
The person who booked my apt did not book for a color and full hilight and cut as i asked. They booked for a partial and a cut.
The woman who provided my service just kept saying she wouldnt have enough time and consulted with another stylist about how to proceed.
I let my stylist know that my hair can be short but would need to be able to be put into a ponytail for work. Well, i cant. It's way too short in the back.
The color of my hair is not even. The back is red (which i was trying to get away from) and the front is so dark it's almost black.
This is something i couldn't tell while in the chair.
If the red color needed to be removed first, then that should have happened. Either strip it or cover it with a much darker color.
This is where inexperience is not beneficial to the client.
I was charged for additional bowls of color, even though my hair is so short i can't even put it up. I cant imagine what someone with long hair would have to pay..
Im pretty disappointed and wish i didnt pay almost $200 for hair that is not at all what i wanted. I can understand this cost at a talented or seasoned salon, especially when you receive the style you want. But this just feels unfair.

I can not express this enough, I get it, I’m weird, I talk a lot, I come in not knowing what I want or I do, and they say I can’t. So I’m always discouraged going to salons. And, I should have just walked away.Just as a previous reviewer wrote, I also paid over 100 bucks to not only receive out of a box from target, hair dye. My shirt was also ruined, due to my stylist not telling me to put on a smock or at the very least, place a towel around my neck. I get it, I’m the wired mother who you don’t want to talk to or even be around. But, not once do I interrupt my stylist after I ask a question. And, to the owner, don’t bother trying to KMA. I’m never coming back. Poor customer service is, poor customer service.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I have been there three times and the third time was my very last time. They treated my sister and I very poorly did not want to do what we had initially requested when we made our appointment over the phone and I was really clear what we wanted but they kept making excuses that our hair was too dark and that we would need to come back to have it bleached. Let's just say the stylist was too lazy to do her job its not like she wasn't going to get paid. Btw my sister has dark brown hair and I my hair is black in the crown and caramel at the bottom so no it was not going to take them long to do it. The stylist finally did my hair and she did a terrible job and took hours to do it I asked her to wax my eyebrows and not even that could she do right I still had baby hairs on my eyebrows that I noticed when I got home since she did not give me mirror to look at. It was the worst the experience ever and NO I will not come back not too mention overpriced for unprofessionals and snarky.

A few months back I got my bangs trimmed at a different salon and the "stylist" there completely ruined my hair. I came in to valenti today to see if it was at all possible to have this mess fixed before my graduation tomorrow and Ashley did an amazing job fixing my hair which I didnt think was possible. Worst experience ever and extremely unprofessional. Called to make sure they could tone my hair even though I did not have prior color there & the receptionist said they usually don’t do it but she would leave a note for me and they will just charge me for the toning. Once I got there everyone was super confused even though they had it noted what I was coming in for. The girl sat me down in her chair and told me the manager there said they would have to charge me for a full color. And wanted me to pay for a full color/ hair trim $100.00 to tone my hair.

Absolutely horrendous experience all around with this company. There isn't enough space to describe the overall lack luster performance received and the level of unprofessionalism displayed throughout my entire unfortunate experience. I had high expectation for this salon but I was quick to realize I was very much wrong. Went in and had a horrible experience but the follow up afterwards made it that much worse. Terrible customer service. Hair dye washed out in less than 12 hours. Wasn't completed as requested regardless ( wasn't the ombre dramatic style discussed), missed pieces of hair. Base wasn't dyed to color as discussed and also washed out. Hair cut consisted of simply thinning the hair and trim, zero style or effort put in. When I was finally asked if I was interested in additional services I opted for the brow wax.... lets just say the first two things I had to do once I finally came home was pluck them myself. In addition to fixing the missed hair pieces that weren't cut. THey state that they are "artist" but I find that hard to believe based upon my experience. It was very obvious that this salon wasn't to the caliber it should of been. Contacted them immediately afterwards to discuss issues and provide them with the opportunity to fix the issue which resulted in a week long phone tag of avoidness of never actually getting to speak to anyone....with me as the customer being blamed for the service received and the events that followed. I went in to prepare for my mothers funeral and was left to be humiliated instead. This has been a complete nightmare of unprofessionalism, horrible talent, and complete insensitivity regarding the entire experience. Instead of being left to mourn my mother's tragic death I have been forced to death with the repercussions of this salon experience as well. Will be reporting to the BBB as well. Don't waste your time or money on this place. The management doesn't seem to care about it's services or customers the way that it should.

Worst experience and horrible talent. If your seeking no talent, hours of wasted time and and terrible treatment this is your salon. Management is unwilling to correct obvious mistakes and poor service. Participates in the same level of low professionalism as staff. Overcharged and actual service never received. Save your time and money and book at a salon that strives to makes their customers a priority but at the very least completing the service.

I was so excited to experience Valenti especially considering the circumstances of my need to have my hair done. This was meant to be a treat for myself. I have never done anything like this for myself and will never after the experience I had at this Salon. Essentially I paid 250 for the effect of a box do it your self dye job with a colored temporary tint. The effort was minimal and it showed in the final look. I do not feel as though I received what I had hoped I would pay for, especially for 250$!

Shea was my barber and what I got for an expensive price was a haircut different from what I wanted and even worse, my left side hair was longer than my right side one!! Again, despite my comment that I don't like dark color, she made my hair very dark. Very unsatisfied...
I am writing this paragraph after they reached out to me and tried to fix the problem. Heather was my stylist this time. She is a very nice lady and fixed my haircut. So, I am changing the rate from 2 to 4.

I'm normally super awkward and uncomfortable when I go the salon and prefer not to talk. Rachel was not pushy and I think she felt that Im a bit antisocial. Haha. She talked me through bangs and even how to style them. She left them a bit long so I could play with them and then gave me the option to come back and shorten them. Remember I have never had bangs before so she gave options to ensure I liked them. The salon is clean and aesthetically pleasing. It's a really nice mid-range salon. BUT RACHEL WAS SO AWESOME!! I love how my hair looks and feels. She even offered a complimentary facial with my hair wash! Woohoo. I'd like to recommend Valenti in general and highly recommend Rachel! What a lovely lady!

I just moved to the area and selected this salon based on the total number of stars and not the individuals reviews. I wish I had paid more attention to the low rated reviews. I went there and ask for a hair cut and subtle highlights. What I ended up with is brassy, clumpy highlights with roots and even after asking three different times to please cut it shorter I still need at least 2 inches taken off. Now I will need to find a salon that can correct this. They were not inexpensive and I feel that I just threw my money away. I will definitely not be going back to this salon or referring anyone else there.

I was in a hairstyle slump. I needed something new. After reading all the wonderful reviews and the fact that it is an Aveda salon, I decided to give it a try. I hit the jackpot with Quinn. She is an amazing listener. That is huge! She’s also very friendly. Not fake at all. She spent a lot of time with me to make sure she understood exactly what I wanted. I left feeling great and love my hair. I made my next appointment as I left. Can’t say enough. The salon was very clean and had a nice feel to it. A relaxing feel.

When you walk into Valenti, the first thing you notice is the spa like aroma and impeccably clean surroundings. You are then greeted warmly and asked what you would like a beverage. I always get the Aveda hot tea (it is so delicious). Then you are whisked to your chair (with massage features) and asked if you would like a warm neck wrap. Meanwhile your feet are ready to be dipped in perfectly warm water. Then the magic happens. I would recommend a Deluxe Pedicure. It is worth every penny! You get a scrub, paraffin treatment, and hot towels. The massage is everything and lasts a good ten minutes. My pedicure is then topped off with a beautiful OPI color. It always lasts a month or more and my callous are gone as well. I have tried cheaper salons for a pedicure, but it always has a cheaper result. I have been coming to Valenti in Mariemont for many years and I have always been greeted when I first walk in the door with a smile and always been offered something to drink. And my stylist Andi has always done a great job. When she was on maternity leave I saw Ashley and she was really good too. I recently moved to Kentucky but I still keep coming back. I have been coming to Valenti in Mariemont for many years and I have always been greeted when I first walk in the door with a smile and always been offered something to drink. And my stylist Andi has always done a great job. When she was on maternity leave I saw Ashley and she was really good too. I recently moved to Kentucky but I still keep coming back. Baby sister salon to upscale Valenti Salon and Spa. Prices are lower, but you still get things like beverages and mini facial with haircut. My stylist was great. She gets 5 stars. Four is for the overly stoic receptionist, my long wait, and a barren atmosphere. I know they are trying to go for the minimalist look, but the salon felt cavernous and cold. The fact that there were like 20 stations and only 4 stylist could have something to do with the dead feel.

Came in as a walk in for a hair cut. I had never been here before. Everyone was very welcoming. They booked me with Ali R. She was awesome! She was very sociable, took her time shampooing, conditioning and giving me a mini facial (much appreciated since I am 38 weeks pregnant). She also walked through every step of cutting my hair to make sure it was exactly the way I wanted it done, then spent the time to blow dry and style it. I know most salons offer to shampoo and style your hair when you get a haircut but it was really nice to actually feel relaxed and not have that "just another client" feeling. I was not rushed at all and was able to enjoy being pampered. I walked out 100 percent satisfied with my hair cut and will definitely be back!

I was a first time client to Urban Salon. When I booked online I chose Ali as she was the only stylist with a Saturday opening. Oh, how lucky I got! This young woman is a genuine hair/stylist guru. Ali consoulated w/ me to chose colors for both my base color and highlights. She was meticulous in mixing all the color components and also in how they were applied on my hair. I went into the salon feeling every bit my age and came out walking on air! I will be back to see Ali to keep my color and cut up-to-date and also for her positive and inspiring conversation. Go see this young woman and enjoy her talents. I truly felt amazing as I walked out the door and I got home my husband yelled WaHoo! Great job Ali!!

My daughter wanted to have her hair colored purple. We needed to find a special salon for the edgy look she wanted, and several people recommended Urban Salon. We had a flat out AMAZING experience. The stylist took time and pride in what she did. We were offered beverages - and felt pampered. In the end, my daughter was beaming with joy, and looking fantastic. That's what it's all about. I was just thrilled for her. I would also mention that the prices are shockingly affordable. We were there for 3 1/2 hours, and the total charge for all that was about $60 before tip. (WHAAAAT?!?!) I was kind of shocked. I expected us to come in over a $100 for all that was provided.

This was my first time here. I haven't found a stylist in YEARS that would or could cut my hair the way I wanted. Walking in it was a good environment. The receptionist didn't seem very happy or excited to be there. And my the chairs you wait in are metal and not very comfortable. Luckily my appointment was right on time and I didn't wait for long. Nicole cut my hair and boy is she fabulous. She did exactly what I asked for. I have really thick hair and like to cut a lot out with layers. Most stylists don't cut enough out and I leave not really feeling a change. She also cut my bangs short enough and knew I was growing out my hair so trimmed the bottom but left the length alone. We had great conversation and I'll definitely be returning to her. My only other complaint is that on the phone I was told the haircut would be $29 but when I got there it was $35. Overall I was really impressed with this place!

From the moment I walked in the door, where I was immediately offered water with cucumber, to my amazing cut and style with Shea, followed by product selections and checking out, I was treated with the highest level of customer service. Even the call I made to schedule the appointment! I'm still in shock how amazing everything was. My stylist listened to what I wanted and offered feedback and let me know what she was going to do before doing anything. She was warm and pleasant, and I even had a mini facial and brow wax! I highly recommend and I will be back for more!

My cut was extremely rushed and I ended up with an uneven bob - one side is 1" longer than the other and the "stack" in the back is more of a jagged staircase. Molly, of course, wouldn't have noticed because she couldn't be bothered to completely dry my hair, let alone style it. Asking for my brow wax after my cut was such an imposition, I should have said, "never mind." I'm extremely disappointed in the professionalism of this salon, especially carrying the Avdea name and reputation.
