  Ricardo gave us a very fair quote for Brace and Bolt seismic retrofit for our 1950s single story house (1750 sqft). Communication was excellent, he was always punctual, he did a great job! He made sure everything was done by the book and permitted and set up the city inspection as well. He gave us all relevant paperwork as well for our records and the Seismic insurance discount!
  
  He also found a leak in our crawl space and fixed it while he was down there!

  I can wholeheartedly say that Ricardo is a great contractor. After getting quotes from 6 different contractors , I decided to go with Ricardo based on his experience with Earthquake Brace and Bolt retrofits (EBB), his professionalism, and his friendliness. He walked me through everything step-by-step, which made me feel prepared for the process. He took care of the permits, submitted all the necessary documents and plans, and prepared me for exactly what to expect. When the work actually started, he showed up on time each day, was prompt with all his communications, and got everything done exactly when and how he said he would. Ricardo always showed up with a smile on his face, and he was so good with my toddler who followed him around as he unloaded materials from his truck. My kid calls him "Uncle Ricardo." The inspector told me that Ricardo's work went above and beyond what was expected in an EBB retrofit, and Ricardo certainly went above and beyond with making everything easy for me and my family. I highly recommend him.

  I had a really great experience working with RSL Structural Inc. and Ricardo, the owner.
  
  Ricardo completed our earthquake retrofitting, foundation crack repairs, and all related structural work, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with how everything went.
  
  Ricardo was easy to communicate with, knowledgeable, and very thorough. He took the time to explain the work, answered my questions, and made the whole process feel much less stressful. He also handled all of the city permit paperwork, which was a huge relief and saved me a lot of time and hassle.
  
  The work was done as promised, inspections were scheduled smoothly, and everything passed city inspection without any issues. It gave me a lot of confidence knowing the job was done right and up to code.

  Ricardo (RSL) performed work for an earthquake seismic retrofit on my home through the California Earthquake Brace + Bolt (EBB) program.
  
  He and the team were professional, knowledgeable about the EBB requirements, and handled the process smoothly from start to finish. Ricardo handled all the paperwork through the EBB portal, as well as obtaining the permits to perform the work from my city's building department. When it was taking longer than expected to obtain the permits from the city, Ricardo was kind and courteous helping answer my questions and following up on my project's behalf.
  
  During the actual retrofit portion of the project the crew arrived on time, worked efficiently, and kept me informed throughout the project.
  
  What sets Ricardo apart are his fair & competitive pricing, excellent communication, extensive knowledge, and friendly attitude.

  Ricardo performed an earthquake retrofit on my house as part of the Bolt and Brace program. We had initially contacted him to inspect our foundation. When we got into the Brace and Bolt program, we reached back out to Ricardo to perform the work, which he quickly agreed to. He had kept the drawings from our initial inspection so we were even able to skip a step. Ricardo was very responsive, communicated timelines and next steps clearly, and was easy to work with. He uploaded all of the necessary documents for the program, so the process was surprisingly smooth. I would highly recommend RSL structural for any foundation work, and especially projects through the Brace and Bolt program.

  I got a few quotes for pier/post repairs for my house. RSL was the most reasonably priced. Ricardo was friendly and professional, finished the work on time, and sent pictures of the work he did under the house. He also helped us look at the flooring under our kitchen since it felt drafty and he identified some holes there. I would highly recommend giving RSL a call for structural work.
