Request a couponThe HFC represents the future of historical fiction publishing. The website is exceptionally well done. D K Marley is a proven professional who works hard for both authors and readers. If you are interested in historical fiction, you would benefit greatly by being a member of HFC.
Was fortunate enough to join DK’s podcast to discuss my novel ‘Searchers in Winter’ and it was an enjoyable and professional discussion. I’d highly recommend this page to anyone interested in historical fiction!
Very professional site with valuable, quality services.
I can highly recommend The Historical Fiction Company for all your author needs. The graphic designers at White Rabbit Arts did a fantastic job of designing my book cover. Combining my wishes with their expertise, they came up with a stunning cover, which was then also promoted on social media by HFC. The Podcast and author feature I did further increased my visibility - plus, they were a lot of fun to do! I will definitely be using the services of The Historical Fiction Company again in the future!
The Historical Fiction Company is the best place for both authors and readers. As an author, I found their variety of services extremely professional, personable and so very helpful. I am grateful for finding them and intend to continue using their services with my future endeavors. Much appreciated!!!
Writing a book is like finding a needle at the bottom of the sea. You must take a deep breath of courage and enter an often-hostile environment, then endure with as much discipline and perseverance as you can muster, until your face breaks into the sun once again. DK Marley understands this. A writer herself, she created a community that nurtures and promotes. She offers a safe place to repose and invigorate, to seek inspiration and go on. Thank you, DK Marley and Historical Fiction Company.
Had great fun doing a podcast with D K Marley and she also took the time to review my novel. This is an excellent company to work with
I have been waiting and hoping for something like this. I have already benefited from professional input and also had two lovely trailers produced. This will be my go-to resource for all future historical fiction projects.
The Historical Fiction Company is professional, prompt, and courteous. I greatly value the wide range of services offered and the community that is forming on the HFC platform. I know there is much more to discover here and I look forward to digging in deeper. I'm delighted to recommend The Historical Fiction Company.
I love the Historical Fiction Company! They have a huge selection of historical books and plenty of information on the website and on Facebook. I have used many of their programs and promotions., plus got an excellent review of my book which I really appreciate. The book trailers are awesome. A great place to promote books!
HFC provides a much needed outlet and service for writers to put their titles before the public - even if that public is only their fellow writers, each of whom is similarly there primarily for the purpose of publicizing their work. We are, after all, each other's audience, but without HFC, we might never find each other, let alone even know about each other's work.
Quite by chance, I discovered The Historical Fiction Company on Facebook and have been a devoted follower ever since. There are lots of historical novels out there, but which are worth reading? This site fills you in on hot new historical fiction to add to your reading list. Tons of resources for writers, too. I am a writer who got priceless feedback from DK Marley. Does insightful feedback matter? Um, yes, quite a bit. Five stars.
I am so glad I found HFP! I had just written my first novel, set in a relatively obscure era, and I was nervous about submitting it for editorial review. HFP did an amazing job. Faultlessly knowledgeable and professional.
I am planning to try out some of their other author services, and I will definitely use them again for reviewing the sequel.
As a reader, I love the bookshop!
The Historical Fiction Company is the real deal. No hype—just thorough, professional, and responsive. I’m impressed with their integrity and their resources are top-notch, within budget and have helped my writing career immeasurably. So glad I found them!
This excellent resource may sound like others that are available, but don't be fooled! The Historical Fiction Company is a first-rate 'must visit' for authors and lovers of historical fiction alike. Readers: find your next book, view a trailer and check out the latest releases. Authors: let readers know what you and your books have to offer. 5 stars for this amazing community.
As a team member if this site I am lucky enough to have had work from this site.

Being a first time published author, it was a very happy chance to come across the Historical Fiction Company. It put me in touch with a wide community of fellow writers and to share their information and stories of occasional heartaches and success.
