  Renter on Numerous Occasions

I have had the pleasure of renting from Reuben and Captain Newport in numerous occasions.
He is always very cordial and knowledgeable of marine vessels, safety issues and destinations in and around L.A., as well as having great rates.
He is and will continue to be my go to vessel access in Los Angeles.
  Thank you Reuben.

  Christmas Boat Parade

My family and I rented the 43’ Sundancer to go cruise around the harbor to look at Christmas lights and watch the boat parade. Our Captain, Peg, was very knowledgeable and made our experience so memorable. Thank you Captain Newport!

Fourth Time We Have Rented with Captain Newport

Captain Richard was our pilot on our second 4-hour cruise down the California coast from Newport Beach to Dana Point and back. This cruise is the fourth time we have rented a 40-foot yacht through Captain Newport for a company social event in the past 15 months. We celebrated company birthdays and used the cruise to raise money (instead of presents) for a local charity called His Nest Place that offers housing and support for pregnant moms who have complex situations. The experience was terrific and promoted lots of enjoyable conversations. The California coastline was spectacular. Captain Richard was the best, providing engaging conversation and interesting facts along the route.

Reuben is the owner of Captain Newport and personally books many of the rentals. He provides excellent service and helps with any special requirement necessary to make the cruise successful for you and your guests, including allowing you extra time to get the yacht ready before the 4-hour cruise begins. Honestly, Reuben cares about the service you get, and he even brought red velvet cupcakes as a birthday surprise for our guests. Thank you, Captain Newport! We are eagerly looking forward to our next cruise in October.

Captain Newport is simply the best when it comes to chartering and rentals!

There is no other option for the highest quality experience on the water. Everyone was so helpful and nice, from the owner to the captain and crew. I was catered through my booking seamlessly and received all the information I needed in a detailed email.

The owner was very kind and made sure I had the best boat, making thoughtful suggestions of ways to enhance our trip. The captain was very knowledgable about the harbor and shared a lot of interesting information. The bartender/stewardess made sure we had everything we could imagine at our fingertips.

All in all it was full of incredible memories and I will definitely be returning to Captain Newport for all of my yachting adventures. Looking forward to the next one and thank you to all who made it a special day.

  Weekly Rentals!

I have been taking out Rueben's boats almost weekly for a year. Rueben is one of the most professional, honest and service oriented person I have ever met. He is the Nordstrom of boat chartering. Rueben has on staff Captain Peg and Captain Mike who are the best Captains in Newport Beach. Captain Mike and Captain Peg will also show you how to Captain and park a boat if you want some amazing lessons. Or just drink and let them do everything.

I don't know who Seema A. is or Isla S. is or Allen M. but I am personally insulted by their reviews and personal attacks on Rueben. Maybe they are from competitors. Since I have chartered Captain Newport's boats over 20+ times I can testify they are the best and have the best captains. Book your next boat with Captain Newport and their amazing captains and you will not be disappointed.

  Spectacular service!!!

This is my 4th time chartering a boat from captain Newport and I am always so impressed by the attention to detail and wonderful customer service we received right from booking the boat till we get off the boat. Captain Newport also follows up diligently after the service to see how our boat experience went.

The last time I rented the boat was for 4 hours on New Years and we had captain Mike on the 40 Ft Sundancer. It was a group of 7 and we had a blast. The boat was beautiful, very well maintained and the boat ride was smooth. Captain Mike was attentive to our requests.

I cannot imagine doing business with anyone else. Captain Newport is the best at what he does and has the very lovely selection of boats to pick from. Definitely recommend!!

Had the best time on Captain Newport boats.

Great customer service when trying to schedule. All persons involved were very nice and accommodating.

Captain Newport was referred to me from my friend. I was looking for something to do to celebrate my 30th birthday. My friend suggested chartering a boat. It was one of the best birthdays I ever had. It was my first time on a boat and I had so much fun. Captain Mike was the captain for my boat and he was such a joyful character to be around.

I definitely recommend Captain Newport if interested in chartering boats. The boats are high-quality and the captain was so kind. Sailing around Newport Beach is a sight to be seen!

We had a large group outing planned with another company .. they cancelled us morning of due to engine problems .
I contacted Reuben and he worked hard to get us on the water same day ! He saved our day and was so helpful , communicative , kind and overall wonderful!!
Our Captain , Richard was wonderful as well . So tolerant of our group of ladies that were probably loud ! We were able to bring our own food and beverages on board .

  The best bachelorette experience ever!

Bill was our captain and he was so fun and kind and knowledgeable. We had the best time ever. We took out the Donzi and it was perfect for a group of 9! It was beautiful, spacious, clean, the bathroom was wonderful to have. Overall it was a 10/10 experience. It was seamless! I booked the experience with Ruben, who was so great to work with and always welcomed my numerous questions with kindness and professionalism. This is the way to go. Captain Newport was also the only boat company in Newport that responded to me immediately too and went out of their way to provide the best experience start to finish.
Thank you for making my cousin's bachelorette so memorable and special. Truly.

  Best Memorial Day Weekend Ever

Taking our yacht out on Memorial Day Weekend was such an AMAZING and smooth sailing experience with Captain Newport. Our captain, Captain Richard, was such a fun and kind soul and made our day easy, carefree and relaxing. We cruised down the Newport and Laguna coasts per our Captain's suggestion and anchored in Emerald Bay to do some swimming and lounging in the sun. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! On top of that, everything from receiving our quote to paying to meeting up at the docks was super easy and everyone we chatted with during the process was very communicative and easy to reach.
