We had a fantastic experience with Sam’s Swim Academy this past summer. Sam was wonderful with our girls—engaging, patient, and able to explain techniques in ways they could easily understand. She took the time to assess each of their skill levels and helped them build confidence in the water. Highly recommend her to any family looking for a skilled and compassionate swim instructor!
Sam’s Swim Academy is absolutely incredible. We tried another swim academy and my son was terrified, crying during the whole swim lesson. We decided to switch him to Sam’s swim academy and he has been loving swimming lessons ever since. My son is very shy and reserved. Sam has made him very confident in the water. We are thankful! Amazing company!
We had the most amazing parent and tot private swimming lessons with Coach Sam this summer! My kids learned lots of new skills and are much more comfortable in the water. Will definitely be retuning next summer. Thank you Coach Sam!
Sam's Swim Academy has been amazing for our son! He went from very cautious/fearful in the water last year to confident and having fun this year thanks to the coaching of Sam and Jordan! We highly recommend their private one on one lessons! I also appreciate how the coaches work with your child and meet them where they are at, coming up with creative ways to teach the swimming basics that work for your child's unique point of view. My 3 yr old son has been doing private lessons with Sam and Jordan whom he really adores all spring and summer. They both are so wonderful with young children, he felt so comfortable in the water and has learned so much since he’s been there. We have already booked fall with Sam and will continue to use her Swim Academy in the yrs to come. I can’t say enough about her knowledge, her extreme passion with helping little ones be comfortable in the water and her kindness and patience. She’s one of a kind!!!
We found that public lessons weren’t serving our son well and when looking for a private swim instructor, we came across Sam!
I’m so glad we did. Sam has an absolute gift with children and is so incredible at what she does! The one on one attention is worth every penny. In one season of lessons, our son went from refusing to go under the water to swimming confidently in the deep end.
If you’re hesitant, don’t be. Trust me!

We love Sam's Swim Academy! Our kids have been swimming with Sam (and Kylie!) for 2 summers now and they are improving by leaps and bounds. We love the convenience of lessons in our own pool, not fighting the City scheduling app and always getting a time and date that works with our family's busy summer schedule. The instructors always arrive prepared and on-time and they keep things fun and fast-paced so our kids are always swimming and engaged. Will definitely be back next summer!
Sam is AMAZING with kids! My girls loved her as a swim instructor and learned a lot, while gaining confidence too. She clearly was made to work with kids.

My kids were very excited to go to lessons with Jordan. She made them feel comfortable and confident as well as helping them with their fears in a fun way. Once their lessons completed they felt confident enough to swim on their own when we went to a waterpark. I will definitely be recommending Sam’s Swim Academy to friends and family.
Just an overall pleasurable experience
Sam and her team are amazing! We used her this summer and my daughter who was nervous and shy in the water now siwms independently. She looked forward to her lessons each week and would sing the bubble gum song all week long till her next lesson! Sam is so confident and patient when she teaches! She has an ability to get the kids attention and keep it the whole lesson. She also allows them to feel safe. I will keep on choosing Sams swim academy. Its hard to find a business that is so kind and easy to work with. Thank you for helping my daughter be confident to swim. We will be back for the indoor lessons!

I cannot say enough good things about Sam's Swim Academy.
We have used four different instructors/companies (over the last three years)... & I feel so incredibly lucky to have found Sam! She has completely exceeded our expectations, in every way possible:
- Our oldest has always been very reluctant of new people & change; however, within 5 minutes of the first lesson, he was in her arms in the water, with a big smile on his face!
- Sam is so good with kids of all ages! She has the innate ability to tailor the lesson to individual needs (as well as various personalities).
- We had 5 kids participating in lessons over the course of the summer & she was able to work with fear, pushback, nervousness, not listening, etc.
- Our oldest also has had a fear of water for the last 5 years (particularly, putting his face in the water or getting water on his face); yet, in just 4 lessons with Sam, he was jumping in independently & actually swimming underwater!
- Our youngest has always loved swimming & thrived with her this summer: Sam was able to get him almost swimming the length of our pool on his own, at just 3 years old!
- After just one month with Sam, our kids willingly chose to stop wearing their puddle jumpers when swimming (outside of lessons). I love the sense of confidence in the water that Sam has instilled in them!
- Each week, our kids would talk about her as if she was part of our family & ask how long until she comes back.
- Every step of the way, she has been so professional: providing invoices, open communicatuon & report cards at the end of the lessons (with ribbons for each child)
- We cannot wait to hire her again next summer... & every summer after!

We thoroughly enjoyed the lessons with Sam! She always made them fun but also got through all the steps to help my 5 year progress. She was loud and encouraging and my daughter responded to her very well. Always punctual and great communication also. We will see her again next summer!
