  Vacation Memories

We loved our vacation stay so much last year that we decided to book it for 2 weeks this year. It is an exceptionally beautiful beach house with a pool. Plenty of room to spread out on the decks while viewing the sunsets. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals. The beds and linens were fresh for a restful sleep. Sunset Hideaway has everything you need to enjoy your beach vacation.

  Staycation

We booked this home for a quick family weekend getaway. It was our first time visiting Cape May. The property was beautiful and well maintained. The house smelled like it had been recently cleaned and this calmed my nerves because I usually have to spend time cleaning before I can relax when staying in a rental. The views of ocean from the property we’re amazing. My family and I really enjoyed staying at the home and look forward to renting again when the weather is slightly warmer and for longer than a weekend. I have no complaints or suggestions. Book this place... you won’t regret it! Thank you for sharing your home with my family. All the best!

  Great location!

Great location and very well appointed home. You can see the beach from the patio upstairs, and you’re a minute walk from the beach itself. The home has everything you need, from pots and pans to boogie boards and beach chairs. Had a few hiccups with the thermostat and couldn’t get the heat off but there were fans in the house to help. Very nice home.

A Wonderful Week at Sunset Hideaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Hideaway! We were a party of 5 adults, an infant, and a dog. The weather was excellent with a mix of cool fall and warm ‘summer’ days. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access across the street to the Delaware Bay beach. It was clear (and much appreciated!) that the owners, Andrea and Ray, have gone to great lengths to make their home a welcome place for their guests. We found the house very clean on arrival. The kitchen was well stocked with dishware, glassware, and utensils. The house is very dog-friendly, with furniture covers, towels, bowls, and even a flashlight provided! We enjoyed the three decks. As a birder, it was great surveying the bay with my spotting scope from the deck outside the master bedroom. We were treated to a world class sunset every evening. We enjoyed the pool which we had previously arranged to be heated. A surprise was the variety and quality of the Villas restaurants. We did take-out dinners from several during our stay and barbequed some excellent steaks from the local market one night. Sunset Hideaway was perfect for our family vacation. We highly recommend it and look forward to another visit!

  Those sunsets though!

We had a fabulous stay at this property. We were able to bring our dogs and have a relaxing weekend on the bay in a beautiful, well appointed and comfortable home. You can’t beat listening to the water as you drift off to sleep. The house was immaculate when we arrived, and having the pool is a lovely asset.

  Sunset Hideaway

We vacationed with different groups during a two week stay at the Sunset Hideaway and everyone had a great time! The location and amenities cannot be beat. There’s a private pool and what felt like a private bayside beach. Other than Labor Day weekend, we felt like we had a private beach. There was not a need or desire to go to the Cape May beach. Then there were the sunsets…views were spectacular from both the beach and the decks from the house. Definitely would stay here again!

  Our week at Sunset Hideaway

Our week at Sunset Hideaway is our favorite week of the year. I think this is our sixth year staying at the house. We keep coming back because it’s such a nice relaxing vacation and we love knowing what to expect. Here are things we love about this property.
-It is always impeccably clean upon arrival. Since the property is both kid and dog-friendly, the house is decorated cutely but also smartly. No carpeting, no clutter. It doesn’t smell like other dogs have been there, there aren’t lots of things for my kids to break. It’s the perfect balance of serene and pretty yet easy to keep clean.
-The decks! There are 3 different decks on the house, two off of bedrooms, and a big one off the main living area. We drink our coffee there in the morning and our wine there in the evening. I think we probably had 15 dolphin sightings this year and several ospreys carrying fish. And of course the sunset views are amazing though we didn’t get any good ones this year sadly. There’s also a grill on the deck that is connected to the gas line and super easy to use.
-The pool! It’s just so nice to spend the afternoons floating in the pool and avoiding crowds. We always see hummingbirds visiting the pretty red canna lillies too.
-The house is really well stocked as far as necessities. We’ve never tried to cook something and not found the tool or cookware we need, and it’s so nice that they provide you with shampoo, conditioner etc. and hair dryers. It makes packing a lot easier to free up some room. There’s always extra beach chairs too. There are ceiling fans in each bedroom, and TVs in 2 of the bedrooms. It’s just very comfortable and easy to relax there.
-There’s an outdoor shower for after the beach. My ONLY wish is that there was a hose to wash the sand off your feet. The pressure on the outside shower is pretty weak and it’s hard to get the sand off.
  What we don’t like:
-Leaving at the end of the week!

  Wonderful Vacation!

This is my 5th year at Sunset Hideaway and it was perfect as always! The views are spectacular from the multiple decks. When I arrived the house was spotless. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need and they have included all kinds of extras. The pool is great and very private for when you don’t want to go to the beach (which is right across the street and easy to access). There are lots of great restaurants, etc. near the house and it is just a short drive to Cape May for even more dining and shopping. Can’t wait to vacation there again next year!

  A Cape May Diamond

Our stay in this home in Cape May was awesome. This house is even more beautiful than the pictures suggest. The home is spacious and beautifully decorated. Everything is fresh and new. I consider myself very picky when it comes to cleanliness- and the home was spotless! The pool was even professionally cleaned twice during our stay. The house is situated in a quiet area within steps from the beach. Views and sunsets from the decks are gorgeous. I felt very comfortable having my family stay here. Beach access is even closer than I expected. The house has all of the conveniences of home- toiletries, kitchenware, pantry staples, which was a huge bonus. The owners are unbelievably responsive and kind. They answered all questions almost instantly. The Cape May area has lots to do and see. A great place for a family vacation or romantic holiday. I highly recommend this property!

  Sunset Balcony

Super well taken care of home with a great location, directly across from the bay.
The house is stocked with everything you need and more.
The kids were able to enjoy the heated pool, despite the temperature being 58 degrees and windy.
Our small puppy was also well able to stay with us and got to enjoy the beach, which was great.
The sunsets in the evening are not to be missed.
  Great home!

Sunset Hideaway is a gorgeous, clean and perfect spot to vacation. Andrea and Ray were great and so welcoming and accommodating. The house was updated, clean and the perfect size for our family. Beautiful Weekend at the Cape

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Sunset Hideaway rental, and we were really grateful that our dogs could spend the weekend with us as well! The house was stocked with many helpful items like bowls and towels for the dogs, blankets, toiletries, and basic ingredients in the kitchen. The house itself was furnished with beautiful decor, and everything looked brand-new. We really enjoyed the view from our balcony– it was a perfect view of the sunset, and it was so peaceful to hear the waves at night. The beach was less than a 1 minute walk from us, and we enjoyed spending the day walking along the shore with our dogs (the beach is dog-friendly!). Though the weather was very uncooperative that weekend with rain and colder temperatures, my family had a really fun time together, and we’re looking forward to coming back for another stay very soon!!
