  Had an excellent experience hiring Ricardo to do my earthquake retrofit for the California Earthquake Brace + Bolt (EBB) program. While collecting bids for the job I talked with multiple contractors, and of them Ricardo stood out for his professionalism, obvious familiarity with the program, responsiveness, and clear communication. That continued to be the case throughout the program, and he did a great job interfacing with the EBB and South San Francisco city permitting / inspections.
  
  The retrofitting was done exactly to the schedule and specifications he promised. Throughout the process I was kept in the loop and felt confident I knew what was going on and what the next steps were. All in all, extremely happy with his work and would highly recommend to anyone looking to perform a seismic retrofit on their property.

  When we were selected to use the CA Earthquake Brace+Bolt program we searched for a local contractor that we could trust to complete the work with low effort and confidence.
  
  After reading reviews on the EBB site and on Google we found Ricardo & RSL were the right fit for us. We asked Ricardo for references and after contacting all of them we heard nothing but praise and appreciation for the level of care, service and professionalism that was given to the projects.
  
  We ended up hiring RSL and the work was completed as expected and on par, if not above, our expectations. Ricardo handles everything for you, walks you through the process in detail, submits plans, secures the permit, schedules the inspection and most importantly calls and shows up when he says he will. A true professional.

  Look no further. We would highly recommend anyone looking to perform an earthquake retrofit to use Ricardo at RSL Structural Inc. We went through the federal brace and bolt program and received bids from multiple contractors. We chose RSL because Ricardo was professional, explained the whole process, and provided a fair estimate. The initial consult, Ricardo explained all the requirements to retrofit the foundation and house, and was patient to answer any questions we had during the consultation or afterwards by phone and email communication.
  
  Ricardo was professional and has excellent communication throughout the months leading to the project date. He kept on top of the federal brace and bolt portal to make sure all the necessary items are submitted, and went through the city to get the permit needed to do the job.
  
  The week of the project, Ricardo reminded us to clear out the crawl space. He showed up early and started work immediately. He coordinated with our city's inspectors to get the 2 (initial bolts and final) inspections handled. He finished the work and clean up in 3 days and the 4th day was the final inspection that passed with flyng colors.
  
  We talked briefly with our inspector if there was any issues, and he told us not a one and that the job was exceptional.
  
  At the end of the job, Ricardo made sure the area was clean, went through the final walk through, and let us know that all the documents should be uploaded through the federal portal for us to submit.
  
  If you are looking for an exceptional craftsman who is proud of his work, professional, and an overall wholesome guy, Ricardo at RSL is your guy.

  We fully recommend Ricardo and RSL Structural Inc. Ricardo is professional, knowledgeable, punctual, communicates well, and keeps his worksite very clean.
  He did our retrofitting and of the other contractors we met with, his proposal was the most thorough, flexible, clearly explained and knowledgeable. He comes on time and finishes the work according to schedule. Kept in contact with us the whole time and sent photos of the work done. He scheduled inspections and was onsite waiting for the inspectors to arrive during the window of time they give. I noticed some damage to our drywall from the retrofitting and he offered to fix and paint it free of charge. It’s been a pleasure working with him. Give Ricardo a try and you’ll see what I mean. He was very professional, put down tarping and cleaned up after the job was done.   Ricardo was one of 3 contractors I had contacted for estimates. I reviewed all three proposals and met with Ricardo. I picked through the proposal and looked carefully at the materials he was planning to use. He had offered a sound materials list and good pricing. He described the project in detail along with the time frame. He answered all my questions and concerns. Once the project was accepted and approved by EBB, everything went according to plan, which is a very pleasant surprise. Things tend to happen in construction projects.
