  Ace Diving was recommended to me by a friend and it’s a spot I’ll be sure to recommend from now on as well. Ryan covered my pool session and had lots of helpful tips. Carlos guided me through my ocean dives and his patience and encouragement gave me the confidence I needed to get my open water certification. The whole crew was professional yet personable and led with humour to ease the nerves! Overall it was a great learning experience and one I’ll never forget!

  I had a great time completing my scuba certification here with Carlos. He and the team were helpful, friendly, and made the experience fun. The dive site was really cool and we were able to see some huge barracuda. When I was nervous, they were very patient and helped me overcome some fears. I would highly recommend getting your scuba certification here!

  10/10 experience! Carlos was an outstanding instructor. I flew cross country for this certification - he was super flexible and helpful when it came to scheduling. Carlos guided me through dives 1+4 with precise and easy to follow instructions. I feel like he really set me up for a successful dive career. I cannot praise this organization enough. They made the whole process from start to finish such a fun and educational experience. I will definitely be returning to Miami and when I do - I am going to be diving with this dive shop! Captain Orestos helped me fix my perpetually foggy mask and in moments, he prevented the fog from happening on dives 2-4. Thank you so much! Ryan and Jesus were so kind and helpful. It was just such a memorable experience. I feel like they really take safety seriously here and that is really comforting to me when preparing to dive 60ft under the ocean surface for the first time. During dive four, Carlos and myself came across a barracuda— those teeth made me nervous however when I looked at Carlos for guidance, he was as cool as a cucumber. His disposition calmed me down and I was able to enjoy the majesty and beauty of all of the animals, sharp teeth and all!

  We went snorkeling with ACE this past November. Carlos and his crew were very welcoming and so much fun. We went to Neptunes Reef and then a natural reef site. Neptune’s reef is deeper- around 40-45 feet. We stayed at the surface so we didn’t see the reef, but did get to see barracuda and some other surface schools of fish. The second natural reef site was much more shallow 20-25ft so we could see the bottom and were able to see lots of tropical fish. This was definitely my favorite of the 2! For someone less experienced I would recommend a location with more shallow sites. I can swim well but I’m a cautious swimmer so I decided to stay at the surface. There were also bouys and ropes out for guidance which helped. All of the days we were in Miami were choppy and the clarity wasn’t the best- but Carlos helped us pick the best day out of lots of poor ones. If you can go on a calm, clear day shoot for that! If we come to Miami again we will probably shoot for the scuba first time diving course since I think that will offer more sights at this location.
