This place was great, I went there with my recently passed hamster, Chubby. Gary was quickly able to get him situated and even let me pick what items I would like to store his ashes in. This place is definitely worth a visit, and deserves all 5 stars I’m giving it.
Very good service. Extremely accessible and customer oriented. I looked up “pet cremation Maine” on Google when my pet dog Jack passed at age 15 and I contacted Benson Brook. 3 hours later everything was handled with exreme care and courtesy. Very affordable services too.
It has been a month since I lost my little buddy. I have been wanting to write a review but I had to give it some time to swallow my loss. I found out about Gary from my Mom that lost her dog to cancer and used his services last year. I can not say enough good about Gary. He made us feel like family, he is one of the sweetest and nicest guys I have ever met. You can just tell he has a heart of gold. He has definitely found his calling in life, he is exactly the person that makes you feel comfortable during such a hard time in life. Everything he does is perfect from the respect that he shows for your pet to the beautiful hand crafted wooden boxes that he makes himself, that he returns there ashes to you in. Thank you for everything Gary and God Bless!

I'm sorry I can't really talk much after losing my pet so I will make this short and succinct. Gary was exactly what I needed in my time of need. The loss of my cat Zoey yesterday was the most devastating event in my life. Gary really came through with his compassion and respect for my pet. Everything was done with dignity and I couldn't imagine doing it any other way. The pain will be with me every day from losing my best and only friend in life, but this was the best way for her to go. Thank you Benson Brook for doing everything right. It helped me a great deal.
PS: The dogs are great. I'm glad to have met them.

Today was a very sad day for me my 12 year old cat Millie became sick on Monday with the help of our vet we tried everything we could to help her get better but her heart was just not strong enough she passed at home this morning before I could get her to the vets. A friend told me about Benson Brook Pet Crematory so I decided to call and and inquire and I’m so very glad I did. Gary was very kind met me outside at my car and carried Millie inside for me explained everything. Within those few short minutes I could just tell he sincerely cares about animals and people especially during such a painful time. I found it very comforting that I could have Millie back within 3 hours most veterinarians that take care of this arrangement have to freeze animals and wait til the cremation company comes to pick up your pet which can sometimes take up to 2 weeks. I decided to open the cedar box to look at the ashes when I got home and to my happy surprise he had also included a small bag with some of her fur I instantly started balling that meant so much to me. I have another cat at home that is Millie’s sister and a dog as well and I will most definitely be calling Gary again hopefully no time soon but I will use his services again. Thank you Gary you made this really tough time more comforting for me.

I found this place on line. I called an Gary was so compassionate about my best friend 'Roxie" . I told him she was only 4 1/2 years old an was not going to make it one more week. He went over every thing with me, He was so caring an helpful. I knew I only wanted him to take care of my loved one. I called back at 3 pm the next day an told him she was not going to make it another night.She was going to be put down asap. He was their for me all the way, he waited for me till 7;30 PM. He relay made me fell that he loved her as well. thanks so much..

The immense sadness of losing a beloved family member and pet is eased with Benson Brook. Mr Smith is a very caring and supportive person that made a very difficult situation better. He was willing to work with our schedule which changed over the course of a few days and made himself available at each turn. My wife and I know we had found a friend in a time of emotional need. When the unfortunate time beckons again, we will turn to Benson Brook. Hard to describe the peace provided at this time of deep sorrow, but it is greatly appreciated. Highly recommend if facing this difficult moment in time.
