We didn’t even make it to the appointment to replace a light bulb in a microwave … that’s a 1 star! We signed up for the appointment online and it was confirmed. A day later I get a txt message to provide a credit card, so they have it on file. No, we don’t send credit card information, we use a debit card on completion, check or cash. If they provide banking details for a direct-transfer we can do that to, but we don’t provide financial information. Sounds pretty shady. A person from Fixed It Guy cancelled the appointment. Solid 1 star!
Our tech Robert was extremely professional, punctual and solved our issue with a Wolf microwave on the first time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable mechanic in the Chicago area! Easy to schedule an appointment via their online portal.

Eric was great. Responsive by text when I was trying to find out what time to expect him (within the window I was given), polite, efficient. He fixed my oven on the spot and gave me the information I needed for my washing machine. I would work with Eric and Fix It Guy again.
I would highly recommend Miguel. He is a technician who you can tell puts a lot of pride in his work and is very knowledgeable and honest. He clearly lays out your options so you feel comfortable in trusting he’s not just trying to sell you a repair that isn’t the best solution for you.

Fix It Guy is always swift to respond and super reliable. I received a text the night before my appointment asking if the technician could come several hours earlier. He was right on time, gave me all the information about my situation and recommendations to move forward. (Unfortunately I need a new dryer, but he was super helpful in explaining why and what to look out for in the future!)
