  Sundogs exceeded our wildest dreams. It is peaceful and beautiful. The house and rooms are nicer than any high end hotel. Our dog George was welcome and a better dog for his time there! The breakfast is outstanding. Best of all- Peggy and Dave, the owners. The nicest people you will ever meet. We are going back often!

  Perfect for CATF!

  Want a beautiful, convenient, convivial, retreat 15 minutes’ drive from the Shepherd campus theaters? The Sundogs fills the bill. New in 2018,both building and owners, it was designed and built with impeccable taste and its owners, Peggy and Dave do all they can to address every personal need. The afternoon snacks and morning breakfast hit the spot. Our omelette made with Peggy’s hen-fresh eggs hit the spot. The little details add up to a memorable stay.

  Sudogs B&B was one of the best places I've ever stayed! Every aspect of the stay was great, but I was most struck by the graciousness, kindness and generous spirits of the hosts, Peggy and Dave. The food, the spacious and comfortable rooms, the grounds, and the friendly goats all contributed to an all around lovely, relaxing, and restorative experience.

  We had a wonderful time at Sundogs! The B&B as well as the grounds surrounding it are absolutely stunning. Peggy and Dave as your hosts will provide such a memorable experience. The level of service and the fresh homemade breakfast will definitely want you coming back. Highly recommend!

  10/10! You'll never want to leave this place!

  This was our first trip with our dog and we are so happy we decided to go here. We stayed for two nights and can't wait to go back - sooner rather than later! We wished we stayed longer! Definitely "where cool dogs take their people!"
  
  When we arrived, we were kindly greeted with snacks and drinks (even treats for our dog). Peggy and David gave us many recommendations on what to do around their place, Shephardstown and Harpers Ferry. Their farm is serene, well-designed and meant for relaxation. We have never felt more at home! The house was super clean and well kept. We loved the landscaping and design on the exterior as well.
  
  The food was unforgettably AMAZING - so much flavor and love is put into their dishes. We were served a wide range of food and snacks from savory to sweet. You will not be disappointed!
  
  Peggy and David were lovely hosts! We couldn't have asked for anyone better. SO MUCH HOSPITALITY! If you need anything, do not be afraid to ask! They gave us our privacy, but also connected with us and our dog. They cared about who we are and what we wanted out of our stay. They shared recipe ideas, wildlife knowledge and future plans for their farm. We can't wait to see what happens next!
  
  Lastly, be sure to catch the lightning bug show at night! It was truly incredible. We've never seen anything like it. It's a show you do not want to miss!

  We stayed at Sundogs Bed and Breakfast over Memorial Day weekend with our two dogs and had a lovely stay. Peggy and Dave are very gracious hosts, the rooms are beautiful, and the food was delicious. There are several walking trails on the property and lots of wildlife to see including deer and a variety of birds. The house has a wrap around porch which is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the beautiful views. As an added bonus, the fireflies at night were spectacular! Our dogs had a blast and we definitely plan to return. Sundogs is our new favorite weekend getaway!

  What a great find! Incredibly clean, spacious, and comfortable. Nice and quiet, with good walks right around the property. So nice to be in a spot where our dog is truly welcomed too. Plenty of privacy, and a great breakfast! Can’t wait to go back.

  This is a newly built B & B made for dog owners and dog lovers. My wife Susan and I did not have our daughter's dog Odis along this time but really enjoyed talking with other dog owners and enjoyed the dogs, too. Peggy and David are terrific hosts and served a delicious breakfast. As the living room fireplace blazed and crackled, other guests, the owners, and ourselves enjoyed a lively and interesting discussion into the evening hours on topics ranging from animal behaviors to evidence based medical information. The morning coffee was tasty as we sat by the second fireplace and enjoyed more discussion by the fire before the delicious breakfast was served. Highly recommend a stay at the Sundogs Bed and Breakfast in Shepherdstown, WV.

  A beautiful home very close to a charming town. Peggy and David were welcoming and made certain we were comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well appointed. The bathroom is extraordinary. Breakfast was a full three course meal which was delicious.

  Last weekend we felt like pampered pets and our Bernese Mountain Dog would certainly agree. David and Peggy were great managers and our visit will not be our last. We're glad we arrived early in the development because visit after visit we will see the changes planned to welcome the guests.
  
  Our room was great and Fumble appreciated the bed they provided for him. We could of had dog bowls for the asking and a blanket was provided in the event that Fumble joined us in bed at night but he felt we took up too much space so he enjoyed his bed with Ducky & Rudolf, two of his best friends even if they were stuffed toys. Trip Advisor's tip said to talk about the room. Ours was not a room as we had access to a comfortable sofas and chairs before a crackling fire place. We felt at home.
  
  On arriving we drove up the serpentine drive and left the noise and lights of the city far behind noting the seclusion and quiet that only a forest and country could provide. There were ample paths for wandering and ample plans as they grow. They only opened for guests October 2018.
  
  We must add praise to the breakfasts (and Fumble lay at the foot of our chairs). We're carnivores, but the breakfasts were not only artfully presented but extremely satisfying to the taste buds. You won't miss those red meat feasts when your served the creations by Peggy and David. Ever meal was a surprise.
  
  We could add to this, but we're the first and we want to leave some space for you.
