Unfortunately, Fix It Guy appliance was not able to fix my microwave.
My microwave wasn’t heating food so I called these guys for help and they dispatched their repair rep to come out and diagnose the problem. The guy came out right away and quickly identified the problem and identified the parts that needed to be replaced. They didn’t have those parts in stock but I found them on Amazon and ordered them right then and we arranged to have him come back after the parts were delivered.
When the parts arrived I set up the return visit for the tech to install them and get the microwave working again. Unfortunately, the microwave still didn’t heat good after he installed the new parts. The tech acknowledged that the issue was probably something else other than what he identified, and discussed with me what other parts might be needed. At that point I bagged it and told him I’d just go out and buy a new one, rather than pay him to come back out again and install different parts.
So, I’m out $75 for the visit to diagnose the problem and $150 for the visit to install the new parts. So basically, I wasted $225 and am going to end up just buying a new one, which is what I should have done to begin with.
My real issue is that he completely misdiagnosed the problem to begin with. That part is concerning, given his confident he was with his original diagnosis.
Front Load Dryer Repair (dryer was making a super loud noise when drying). Super easy to work with from start to finish! Was able to book on-line, set up convenient pay method. Communication was great, pricing very reasonable and the contractor was very professional, knowledgeable, timely and cleaned-up after the repair. Will use Again! Quin
