Craig immediately stood out when he arrived at our home for the first time back around 2016. We'd been recommended him by a very happy customer and we understand exactly why. Craig is the perfect combination of 3 behaviours that make him stand out:
He does a great job: From the moment he arrives at your door til the moment he leaves, every action is careful and thorough. You watch a man who loves his craft and who wants you to love the work he's done. He focuses so hard on ensuring he leaves no mess that I suspect even a forensics check would find no evidence he had even been here.
He's a spectacular support: Beyond doing the work you asked for, you have someone here who understands and cares about fires , chimneys and burners and everything that goes with them. He can help you with repairs and advise you and this all comes from a clear detailed passionate understanding of his trade. Finally, and not to be undervalued, he is a lovely human: I’ve done many, many dumb things over the years and Craig has never ever let me feel dumb when he’s explained or helped. He has a disarmingly friendly manner and is one of those people you’re going to feel comfortable being around. You’ll be comfortable with him in your home. This year, I had tried to solve a problem with my stove myself. I should have been able to but something just didn’t work and I could not for the life of me understand why. Craig found the time to work through the problem with me when he visited to clean this year. He identified the reason my approach wasn’t working (I’d been sold a faulty replacement part not made the original manufacturer ). He checked in with a colleague who was very close to this brand to check his thinking then gave me the info I needed to get my money back on the part. He sourced an original replacement (at a price as keen as I was paying for the faulty one) and dropped it round within 48 hours [fitting was trivial]. Eight weeks after my debacle had started and I had remembered what I should have done at the start, ask someone who knows exactly what they are doing for help.
We’re coming up towards 10 years of Craig helping us, he’s someone you’re going to want to stick with.
