I rented Reuben's boat for my birthday.  It was my first time renting a boat.  Reuben is very friendly and made the whole boat rental process a smooth and stress-free experience.  He showed my friends and I how to safely operate the boat before we left.  He gave me a call during the trip to make sure we were doing OK.  I would definitely recommend you to rent one of his boats!

After easy contact with Reuben Pasandi, I arranged for a 1/2 day rental of a Sea Ray Sundancer 27' cruiser out of Newport Beach.  Since I'm a relative newbie to boating I requested a sea-going guru to show me the ropes and take me and my wife out on our shakedown cruise.  Capt. Rick motored up to our take-off point right on time and after walking me through a pre-flight of the engine and other systems, and a review of safety procedures,  gave me the helm while keeping a watchful eye on our exiting the harbor.  And once we hit the open seas it was nothing but outstanding as we opened her up and headed south to Laguna, with a few check maneuvers on the way. I'm looking forward to my solo flight in the near future. Thanks guys.

Hey Reuben, Thank you so much for letting us use your boat today. We had such as amazing time! We will definitely call you again for another rental sometime. We actually took a really cool video using my drone while out in the harbor and ocean that I think you'd like. You could probably use the video as advertisement for the boat. I'll send it to you this weekend after doing some editing on it.
  Thanks again take care.

Captain Ruban, and his first mate Rick were incredible to work with from Captain Newport boat rentals.  We rented the 39' Donzi last weekend to head out to Catalina on a spur of the moment trip and all it took was a simple text out to Ruban, and the boat was prepped!  Rick was waiting on the dock at 7:30 a.m. to make sure the Donzi was ready to go.  Rick was very helpful and informative, even a novice boater will feel comfortable after his guided intro.  The Damn Donzi was a great vessel, it was clean and easy to navigate from Newport to Catalina.  I would highly recommend Captain Newport to anybody looking to rent a great boat for a great price

Rented a boat for 4 hours. Meet Reuben prior to renting, he showed me the boat and then we talked to Captain Rick about what we would do the day we go out. The renting process was very smooth and professional. The boat was in very good condition and Captain Rick was experienced and very friendly with my Kids.
Had a wonderful time. Saw sea lions, dolphins and one whale. Then anchored in Laguna and had a nice swim.
I will definitely use them again. I recommend taking it out for 5 hours minimum to get to enjoy it properly since it takes half an hour to leave the harbour and another half an hour to return,

I looked at at many rental sites before renting from Reuben. He is the
man! He made boating without the hassles! We booked a 4 person trip for 8
hours and we had a blast! The weather was absolutely perfect when we
went so that was a nice bonusI We rented his (Sun Dancer 260) to
celebrate life and had some special guests with me on this day. It was
such an amazing experience being able to sail out into seas and enjoy
the beauty of nature. The yacht was perfect for the amount of people I
invited and they all had the time of their life as well. We took so many
pictures to capture the new memories I will treasure forever. Thanks
to, Rueben, owner of the yacht, who assisted us before our way out to
seas. This was the first time I rented a yacht like this one, but
definitely not the last. We'll have to do this more often. Thanks again!

I rented a yacht(Sun Dancer 260) to celebrate my birthday and had some
special guests with me on this day. I must say that it was the best
birthday so far. It was such an amazing experience being able to sail
out into seas and enjoy the beauty of nature. The yacht was perfect for
the amount of people I invited and they all had the time of their life
as well. We took so many pictures to capture the new memories I will
treasure forever. Thanks to both you, Rueben, owner of the yacht, and
Joe, who assisted us before our way out to seas. This was the first time
I rented a yacht like this one, but definitely not the last. We'll have
to do this more often, even if it's not a birthday. I enjoyed it so
  much. Thanks again!

Great boat, great time! We had been looking for while for a Sea Ray or
similar sized boat/yacht to rent and we're thrilled when we finally
found this company. We booked the 2015 Sea Ray 260 for 4 hours. Our
party consisted of 3 adults and 1 child and we had plenty of room. The
boat was easy to handle (as per my husband) and the best part was we
were able to take it out on the ocean and cruise the coast!

We had an incredible great time. The 2013 Sea Ray 260 Sundance was a great bad and we had no problems with the boat. Reuben was a great host and was very helpful and nice. The boat was clean and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend renting a boat from Reuben. I am excited for my next venture and I will go back to Reuben.

My family of 4 rented the 2012 Sea Ray for a half day. Prior to booking with Captain Newport I called numerous other companies looking for a simple boat rental that could be taken into the ocean. Captain Newport had the best prices and options.. by far. Great experience renting.. will do it again.

Captain Newport is a first class company! Reuben helped me from beginning to end to make sure our day perfect. He was always available as we were planning the trip, to answer questions, help us find what we needed, getting us a great captain! He is so friendly and really invested in our having the best experience. The boat was awesome! clean and comfortable. He called afterwards to make sure we were satisfied. I will rent only from Reuben at Captain Newport in the future.

Absolutely amazing!!!My wife and I rented the 2012 Sea Ray over
Independence Day weekend and took it out with some friends. We had the
best time you could possibly hope for!! The boat itself was
gorgeous, ran like new and had plenty of room for all 8 of us. The
checking in and out of the boat process was as quick and easy as you
could possibly imagine, especially considering how anxious you are to
get on the boat and get going, as well as how tired you are after you're
done. Joe and Ruben were super friendly throughout the whole process.
We ended up keeping the boat an extra hour because we were having a
great time and since the next reservation was later in the day, they
were super accommodating.I did a lot of research on boat rental
places, as well as boat options...this place not o my had the best
boats, but they were so friendly and accommodating.

We will absolutely be renting again from these guys!!!

Decided to rent a boat and wow what a great experience! Joe met us at
the dock and went over everything. Boat ran great and we had so much
fun! Weather was perfect, Joe was at the dock upon our return... love
him! He is so funny. Will be renting again! Why buy, pay to store it and maintenance when you can have this much fun at a fraction of the
  cost?!?!

Captain Newport is Awesome!!!  Three of us rented the 2015 Sea Ray and
took it out to Catalina for two nights. The boat was perfect,
comfortable, ran well and the crossing took just over an hour each way.
Reuben and Joe were great to work with, explained everything and made
themselves available for any questions. Check out/in was fast and easy.
They will definitely be our first call next time we rent a boat.

Finally, a boat rental company with newer, cleaner, larger boats!  My
brother and I took our Dad over to Avalon for the weekend and Reuben and
his Captain Newport boat options were exactly what we were looking for.
The Catalina ferry options are fine for simple transportation to/from
the island - but boring, and then you have no boat for fishing,
snorkeling and exploring while on the island.  The value was excellent,
Joe met us at the dock at our departure and at our return to explain all
boat systems, operation, etc. and we had an amazing experience.  We
took the new 27' Sea Ray but next time I'm upgrading to the 39' Donzi!
Planning a bay cruise around Newport for my brother's birthday on the
33' Formula or the 39' Donzi in August, may have Reuben provide a
Captain for that trip though...  Definitely recommend Captain Newport -
clean, larger, well maintained boats (which you just don't find with
most boat rental company's), and a super responsive polite owner.

Captain Newport is the best! For my 31st Birthday we rented the 2013
Sundancer and headed down to some of the private beaches along the
Newport Coast. Along the way we encountered about 30 dolphins who made
the experience very memorable and special for the group. The Captain
Newport team provided excellent customer service and guidance without
getting in the way of our experience. Highly recommended to anyone
wanting to have a luxury experience on the water.

This is an easy review!    Wonderful experience.  Captain Reuben was excellent at helping us get our charter scheduled.   I actually booked the wrong day, my error and he went above and beyond to try to get it switched.  It ended up better that we went on the day I actually scheduled.     Joe called that morning to let us know he would be waiting for us and he was.  Escorted us down to the boat and carried our stuff.   Captain Chris was waiting on board for us.    He was super friendly, gave us tons of info.    Stopped and circled when he spotted a whale for us to go watch for a while and did the same for a group of dolphins.   Now that I've been to Catalina Island I don't know if I would do it again (it was very beautiful and awesome but kind of a one time experience).    I do plan on using them again for a private charter to just take a trip out and hang out on the boat and chill.   Excellent service and great pricing if you know anything about private charters.    Well worth it if you enjoy being able to do what you want when you want and have run of the boat.     We will be back!
