Breath of Fresh Air
My wife and I came to the area primarily to visit the Antietam Battlefield since we are both history buffs. We checked reviews for hotels and other bed and breakfasts, but we kept coming back to Sundogs B & B. As the name suggests, the place is very dog friendly (we don't have dogs, but are comfortable around them.) I can honestly say, this was one of the best decisions we could have made in terms of lodging. Dave and Peggy were very welcoming, the atmosphere was a definite "Breath of Fresh Air" after an exhausting day of traveling. Sundogs sits on 46 pristine acres in rural West Virginia near Shepherdstown. There are mowed hiking trails, woods, multiple gardens, etc. The place is absolutely beautiful. The breakfasts are plant based, which they are very up front about. The food is freshly prepared and delicious. The rooms are every bit as nice as the property itself, immaculate and spacious. Needless to say, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
